In terms of future opponents, for Pacquiao, there is Mayweather, but I doubt he will get more than 50-50 against him even if it did post bigger numbers in the US, whilst Marquez III is another option and one where he could get a bigger piece of the pie, but I can't see this being as lucrative as Hatton.

Hatton can fight any 'name' and he will do good numbers. I think one fight he could go for is Cotto at a catchweight of 144 or something, if Cotto doesn't go straight to Margarito after demolishing Jennings. This could also be fairly big money wise, and would probably do close to 1,000,000 buys in the UK. My cousin was working at SkySports for the Malignaggi fight, and their internal estimate on the night of PPV buys in the UK was somewhere between 500,000 & 600,000, so think about the money that could be made against a more renowned name like Cotto. Plus if Hatton did it in a stadium he can make a bundle off ticket sales.

Still hope that Manny sees sense and makes the fight.
May I beg to differ. I think it's a good move on Team Pacquiao's part because they he is in the drivers seat. Why should he settle? It may be a a bit of a gamble but lets see once Hatton meets another fighter with a good draw $1 million to $5 Million? but pales in comparison and Pacquiao meets another fighter but makes another $10 million. Hatton's team is messing out on at least $4M $6M if not $10M by not bowing to Pacquiao's demand.

You can say the same about Manny. What PPV money can Manny bring to a fight that isn't featuring an American or a Latino fighter. Hatton probably brings more revenue to the promotion than Manny does. At the least it's fairly even what they bring to it so when you consider the fact that these two particular guys fighting each other will generate more revenue than almost any other match they can make it's a no-brainer for both guys to accept. If Manny prices himself out of the fight it's because he's scared to fight Hatton.

How is Hatton messing out... You do realize hatton has been the kingpin of 140 for almost 4 years now right?

I would also venture to say Hatton has more career earning than Pac up to this point

My bad, typo (missing out). It's all about the money..... There is no draw out there for Hatton, like Hatton/Pacquiao....He is missing out on $4 to $6 million more than any other match up and possibly as much as $10 Million. except... GBP and TOP Rank are the guys doing the nego. Pacquiao didn't quite get that he is making the lions share by taking half of the UK PPV's when Hatton didn't have to agree. Top Rank was betting on a hugue PPV UK draw. On Pacquiao's side, and you can't really blame him by defeating ODH and beacuse of his own appeal makes him the top draw in Boxing no matter who he is fighting. He just wants that recognition. What the promoters should have done was shut up about the UK money and rewrite the split 60/40 Hatton UK PPV and 60/40 US PPV buys for Pacquiao with a slight guaranteed purse going to Pacquiao. Since Hatton's crew believes UK PPV are the bigger draw they should have had a problem.

I would venture to say that Hatton would be responsible for 95% of the UK PPV buys and at least 50% of the US PPV buys.

Pacquiao is either delusional or affraid.

I dont get that at all.

no one who doesnt already watch boxing would have seen Oscar against pac.

As sad as it is Froch will now be more well known after struggling on ITV.

What are promoters being paid for because they arent trying very hard.

Remember Benn and Eubank were all over tv programmes to hype their rematch even though it didnt need it.

People dont care about boxing because boxers nowadays dont try very hard to get a bigger audience, after all the better the audience the better they get paid.

A few day time tv programmes, adverts even something like a reality tv programme, thats why boxng isnt as popular because its not on the most watched media and its on at stupid times that people cant be bothered to stay up till, even the uk shows that have a main event at about 10 is too late, if they were on at 8pm, theyd get much bigger audiences and interest.

10pm on a weekend most casual sports fans are pissed out their skulls and wont watch tv.

I just don't understand the people in Manny's ear. 50-52% of a lot money will be a lot more than whatever his high percentage against Humberto Soto or Valero will be. Arum must be pulling whatever hair he has left out.
