Sheer insanity. Pac won't make a fraction of the Hatton purse for any other fight sans Mayweather. Just dumb.
Maybe, maybe not. Sure the UK ppv sales are mostly Hatton fans, but It's the fact that Hatton is fighting the #1 p4p that really draws the big sales, wouldn't you say? Maybe compare the potential ppv sales to that of Hatton-Maglianaggi or Hatton Lazcano, then ask yourself whether the UK ppv sales is all because of Hatton.
No, based on a sheer numbers basis Hatton factually generates more money than Pac. The Phillipines is a poor area and does not generate high PPV sales. UK fans, on the other hand, generate massive PPV sales.
I'm not sure you get my point. Just because it's a UK ppv buy, doesn't mean Hatton gets all the credit for the sale. It's because Hatton is fighting the #1 guy that the sales will be so big. Unless you think the UK buyers don't really care who Hatton is fighting.

Certainly, the opponent factors in. But Hatton generate huge revenue regardless of his opponent. I am sure you saw the crowd for the Lazcano charade? Pac couldn't do that in the Philippines simply due to the economic situation. It's a poor country. Pac may be equal or above Hatton just on pure "the love" factor, but in terms of real dollars Hatton is way beyond Pacman.

OK fine, we agree the opponent (PAC) has a bearing on amount of UK ppv buys, how much of a difference, we don't really know at this point.

forget about live gate at Manchester Stadium. I'm sure PAC could sell a stadium in Philipines also. Not useful for comparison.

Obviously we don't know what the ppv buys for PAC will be. I'd be interested in a comparioson of ppv buys in UK between say, Mayweather compared to Lazcano, or Maglianni. I suppose the PAC differential wouldn't be a lot different than the Mayweather differential.
