I don't blame Pacman one bit for squeezing as much as he can from this fight, stop and think of where Pac comes from, the Philippines is not a prosperous place to live and grow up, most people there live on approx $200 a month!!!!
So when somebody like Pacman wants a bigger slice of the pie he has earned every right to get, do not be so quick to criticize.
The fight will happen and it should be a great fight, Hatton will do very well out of it too and he should be thanking Pacman for getting it.
I tend to believe what Arum said about Pac loving to gamble, is probably the real explanation. Pac tried his to bluff his way to the bigger split. Fortunately, he didn't ruin his chances of signing the fight!

Radio 5 Live are now also reporting that the fight is sealed and delivered for May 2. Hate to say it, but the big boy Bunce in his boxing hour this week got it on the head, but it's been a big belief pretty much all round that they were playing hardball about a few thousand when it's multi-million pound deal for everyone involved.
Too much money for it not to be made!

Oop! not quite a done deal....apparently it still needs a signature 01-23-09:5:45pm
The Associated Press: Pacquiao-Hatton back on for May 2 in Vegas
"I received a copy of the contract signed by Manny Pacquiao. I sent it to England for a signature by Ricky Hatton, but haven't yet received the signed contract," Shaefer said. "I believe it's going to happen, but it's not finalized. We're working on the paperwork. How can a deal be finalized if only one fighter has signed?"

It's official: Ricky Hatton signs and fight with Manny Pacquiao is on | The Fabulous Forum | Los Angeles Times
May 2nd is still aways off. I read Hatton will train 12 weeks for this fight, but don't see how he can do that since it's 10 weeks till the fight after the promotion tour ends in mid February. I wonder how long he trained for the Malignaggi fight, because he looked trim?

I cant wait for SaddoBoxer to rant his mouth off in the coming months.
I'm gonna own his ass.
Hatton samshes Pac.
this is very true Pacquiao will get the better deal because 15 million usa dollars he could basically by the island of the philippines. while hatton will get taxed hard.
I agree Hatton will be way to strong.
I think Hattons grappling will be the key like how mosley kept grabbing margarito and then hitting him.
Also Hatton is fucking pissed! and he has mayweather sr who is a superior trainer to freddie roach.
I will say pacman succumbs around the 6th or 7th round hatton will drop him in the 1st round, hatton has under rated power look how badly he was hurting paulie he almost stopped paulie something cotto couldnt do.

Possibly you're being a little facetious, but others might not get that....
Locally .... $300 Annual~P1200 per month is crap and only farmers can get by on that. Those that have to make do....
The peso has been P40~50 to $1 the past 7 years or so. Any single guy would love to visit the Philippines... even married guys love to visit... $1500 spending money for two weeks for a Brit or American for most is about right... double that and it's premium quality ...
