Man i got tell i been watching Shane Mosley my whole life and i am glad he won i just had the feeling that this was a bad fight for Margarito because you cant break Mosley in the way he wanted to do it the sad part is that Teath although i like some of what he says can give Shane Mosley any credit and thats what pisses me off the most about that shit and Danny G making all these exuses for Cotto they are not sure about the wraps yet and also Cotto could not hurt Margarito and also he has a stamina problems so i really dont get why Danny is complaining all and all Shane Mosley showed why he has the name Sugar and his domination of Margarito was one of the best performances i have ever seenn in while.

I can not say I was so much surprised that Shane won because truth be told it is not like Shane has been beat down lately and just came back from the grave....Mosley has always been in top shape and to my recall other then Forrest when Forrest was DAMN! good he has neverhit the canvas.....So the chin was always there...

I did though think he would be worn out by trading with Tony and end up on the bad end of some punsihment.....Losing via UD

Yet there was always the thought of him outboxing Tony...Scoring with the trademark Mosley quick flurries in and out and getting the decision himself....

The thought of Margarito being knocked out by anyone at this point let alone Mosley at 37 nevber entered my mind once....

I did say though in the beginning that I would be rooting for Shane over anyone but Margarito....So I am not too disappointed that Tony lost

Shane's speed was the main difference. What a fight. I never thought I would witness Margarito being put down again, not least twice So much for the iron chin. But yeah....Shane was awesome. Huge probs to him. Maragrito has always been one dimensional (I've said this before), I just didnt think Mosely could exploit him like that. He won every round on my card. What a performance.

Man I think this is great for the sport to have someone as marketable as Shane to have such a good performance. He is a superstar, like Jones, but also the real deal still!

This division is so tough! And it just keeps getting better. I think I know the rankings and how the chips are going to fall and someone stuns me in another great welterweight fight!

Correct me if i'm wrong here but what i noticed most in this fight was Margarito on returning to his corner at the end of round 1 looked shot!
Have a look at the end of Round one with the close up on Margarito, he definitely wanted to be somewhere else other than in the same ring as Suger Shane Mosley who bullied the bully the whole fight.

That's because mosley hurt him in the opening round. Margarito hardly threw a body punch in the first half of the fight because mosley's hard punches took away most of his steam.

I'll put it down to that then, never have i seen a champion have the look of defeat on his face so early as i saw Margarito against Mosley.

If this is true, then it gives weight to fists padding issue, brought against Tony.

Imagine, in one swift stroke, having to go to war without your trusty weapon, and in all of its suddenness?

Abruptly, you will go psychologically out of whack, in the briefest manner.

Couple that with the beatings absorbed in real time! Lights out after round 1, .... for that matter, common sense strongly suggests, lights out even before round one!

I remember reading this thread last night...I can't remember who gave the 4th to Margarito but it definitely wasn't Ray Charles because he could have told you Margarito didn't win a damn thing. Even the 7th that Lederman gave him was extremely generous!

If you look closely Shane landed a real hard body shot and after that margarito didnt throw shit after that until the round was over. If u get body work in on him early he has nothin no power no pressure nada.

I was SHOCKED seeing Shane just BLUEPRINT Margarito...he gave the HOW TO GUIDE of how to whip Toni's ass. I am now really looking forward to Cotto coming back and avenging his loss.....a beat down like Toni got can end careers.
