    Was at ringside for that!
    My eighteenth birthday!
I was there too Donny, unfortunately not ringside though!

So you were 18? I always pegged you as a lot older than that, that's probably because you know how to string a sentance together. Unlike many other young posters!

As for Hatton beating Pac, I think he will. I genuinely believe Pac's performance agaisnt ODLH was exagerated by how bad Oscar really was. Pac looking so unbeatable was more down to ODLH than it was Pac.

Ricky Hatton on the other hand is no weight drained shot fighter, he's the No.1 LWW and the strongest fighter Pac has fought to date.

Yeah, I was lucky enough to go for my 18th, it was a great night.
It was also the first time I saw Jennings box live (For non-Euro's) the guy who fights Cotto next.

Yeah, I'm 21, although having a daughter in the past year has enduced maturity. I genuinely feel the love a parent has for their child and as a result I think I've grown. So thanks Conrad mate

I just completly agree with what you've said.

If I'm proven wrong by all means I'll hold up my hands and give Pac his credit, but I think Ricky takes this one and he too should get his due.

TBH i see this fight as 50/50

I think Hatton could win cause hes in his own weight class where he has more an advantage.

And Pac could win to by been quick on his feet and if he happens to cut Hatton it could be stopped.

kinda hard to choose but i rather have Hatton win this one.

I agree with this. I don't think Manny's ever faced such a naturally strong guy with great footspeed like Hatton. I'm extremely intrigued by this fight because Hatton always gets his way and he always gets you on the ropes.

Even against Floyd, Hatton got his way. Floyd had to beat Hatton at Hatton's own fight by muscling him and getting rough on the inside and on the ropes. Floyd STILL had to fight Hatton's type of fight. I can't see Manny outmuscling Hatton. Manny definitely isn't as big as Floyd and he doesn't have the type of defense Floyd has.

Plus, Manny needs space to operate and land his good punches. He's not gonna have it with Hatton. Unless you're much bigger than Hatton, he will find a way to make you fight his type of fight. Which is mauling, in close, brawling type of fight. He looked so good against ODLH because he was able to use his handspeed and most important footspeed to setup alot of his punches and move around and sidestep ODLH all night. I think Manny has a decent shot at winning due to him being a southpaw and having very fast hands but Manny's gonna realize that Hatton's footspeed and handspeed ain't too shabby. Hatton WILL get his way on the ropes. Quite honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if Manny got stopped to the body while he's out of position or on the ropes sometime in the middle rounds. Otherwise, I'm with you, I think it's gonna be a win for Hatton.

I can't help but laugh everytime I read people treat manny as if like a small kid fighting like say, a high school boy. Ricky is so big, so strong for his size blah blah and blah.

Manny has been mixing it up with bigger and stronger boxers eversince, why do you think Roach will let him fight with ODLH, do you think he will just win with speed and endurance alone? Of course he must also stand up to ODLH punches, remember he has a killer left and he was once a Middleweight for God's sake. Roach knows Manny very well and knows his capabilities. He knows he can stand on his ground with BIGGER MEN and mix up with them. Why did you think Roach got 2 LIGHT MIDDLEWEIGHT AND 1 WELTERWEIGHT for sparring in partners in preparation for the Dream Match if he thinks he's so SMALL?

So please stop with those BS coz it ain,t gonna matter for Pacman if he is
    a bull in LIGHT WELTERWEIGHT.

Its going to be a matter of who can impose their gameplan, and who can make the adjustments to keep things their way..

Both guys cant overcome the others strengths, Hatton will get eaten alive on the outside, Pac will get grinded down on the inside... Simple enough.

I give Hatton the slight edge on imposing his will.Ricky is quick and is a++++ for closing the distance, they both got superb corners.. Definetly a fan friendly fight

Hatton will definitely be able to close the gap on Pac. He really is so quick on his feet. So quick that he often smothers himself, but he did well against Paulie and its worked for him a lot in the past. And once Hatton is close he's going to be so much stronger than Manny. And I can really see him being very effective. Hatton is more skilled than people give him credit for, and he is has quick, heavyish hands.

Those odds on Hatton are fantastic, definitely worth a flutter.

also hatton showed up against collazo its just collazo is a hard fighter, very tough vet with a soutpaw style and was bigger then hatton.

Hattons only lousy performance was against lazcano and he was sick.

Hatton will show up for this fight guaranteed! and all these pac fans will cry.
    Incorrect.

Keeping in mind I'm a huge Hatton fan here....Ricky was psychologically a million miles behind Mayweather in that fight, physically prepared does not equate to being prepared

Against Collazo Hatton was ill, nutritionally retarded and slow.

And Hatton looked rather good against Lazcano, psychologicalo factors considered.

You should listen more than speak.
no you are making stupid excuse, hatton is not a bum he comes to fight, the only time he was lousy was against lazcano.

and if he loses to pacman it is becaue he is shot from the mayweather jr fight.

but that is theonly way pacman can beat him because he only fights shot fighters.

Ricky fought collazo his first step up to 147 and pacman fought david diaz lol
    Read this very carefully.

I am a big Hatton fan.
I have been to a number of his fights and have been lucky enough to meet the man.
I would never deem any world class fighter a bum, let alone my favourite active fighter.

Lazcano put on a brave show, but Hatton won handily enough.
Hatton's poorer performances were against Collazo, Mayweather and Maussa.

huh? man your blind hatton trained proper for the mayweather jr fight the ref ruined him, and hatton was great in the maussa fight he knocked that guy cold.

lazcano was his worst performance because he was sick, if you thought it was better then his fight with maussa your trippin.

To be fair, when you made that statement you pretty much demolished any form of structure and spelled the word 'sentence' wrong.

Here it is. Let's have a look...

" So you were 18? I always pegged you as a lot older than that, (<---this requires a full stop) that's probably because you know how to string a sentance (<..spelled wrong) together. (<---requires a comma linking now fragmented sentences--->) Unlike many other young posters! "

Anyway...I look forward to this fight. I am not a Hatton fan and don't really know enough or have seen him enough to root for him. Pac has earned my respect for his accomplishments and I wish him to succeed in spite of not liking some of his fans.

I don't have a great knowledge on fighters, but carry a fresh 'young' perspective. My boxing history on professional boxing goes back about 10 months and anything I say is based on what I have seen in that time. So I haven't really seen Hatton yet.

I hope it is a great fight and a better match then Oscar/Pac in regard to being competitive.

I never said I could sting a sentence together, just that Donny could.
