Good on Calzaghe i think he was losing the hunger last year.He was a great fighter maybe now he has gone he will get the respect he deserves as a fight that went unbeaten in 46fights.

yeah he beat some top guys towards the end of it. lacy, kessler, hopkins. hopkins regardless of his age some people will say the hopkins of today is better than the hopkins of old. plus he fought him on his first trip up 2 LHW where hopkins was the ring champ. i no alot of people hate on him,but joe came up the hard way, not much tv exposure. hes not like alot of so called stars today where there built and hyped up from day one. the mans paid his dues.

Its a true shame I hope Hatton is Victorious becaue if he loses thats a big hit to boxing.

Disappointed he never took on Chad Dawson or a couple other high profile Americans.

His record is a great one, but he had the potential to go even further, beat Joe Luis' record and cement himself as a legend in the sport.

He's basically obviously calculated the risk reward factor and opted to 'take the money' as many a millionaire contestent has said to Chris Tarrent.

I wanted him to take the risk and play for the million pound question though

I agree Joe Calzaghe missed a great chance to go down as good as

I think he's doing this as a strategy for one last british megafight with froch. get everybody thinking he'll never come back. then have froch stir up trouble with some interviews and build to a crescendo in wembley stadium.
