There is a time and a place for a National Anthem.
It's all about what a country think about their own one, because that reflects the way they treat the opposition's .... here is how it should be done. 85,000 passionate and pissed Welsh people chasing the Grand Slam in their own stadium.
Sang along to the opposition anthem as well, because I was there.
One of the most intimidating venues in the world in any sport to come as the opposition, I would think.
For me, one of the most spine-tingling moments I ever have ...... anthems can definitely add to the occasion (I don't think there is anything similar to this in America?)
Got pissed up in Cardiff after the game (as usual) Welsh and French intermingling happily. There's enough violence of the pitch and lots of people who go to the matches are former players at some level. Not a good idea to pick a football-style fight. They say that rugby is a game for thugs played by gentlemen and football is a game for gentlemen played by thugs.
