This had nothing to do with Buchanan never being stopped before.
This has to do with Ward not having the balls to go in there and look to put pressure and get on his opponent.
He was just happy with the occasional 1-2 or the shot to the body here and there.

Really frustrating to see cause you know the kids got the talent he just doesn't seem to be into it sometimes.

I'd def. favor Dirrell over Ward.

Finished the Negotiator. Great movie.

Then turned to Shobox and watched the fight, it looked like Ward was pressing the fight and the other guy just didn't come to fight. At least it wasnt boring because he was staying away from conflict. Boring fight though. Im glad i finished the negotiator. The other guy just didn't come to fight and Ward wasn't in a rush to finish him. Yusef Mack won tonight, maybe they can fight each other.

I only caught the middle onward. But from the replays after it looks like he hurt Buchanan with a left hook early on and went on to hit him but was in no hurry to knock him out like he was content with going the distance. I think people are mad because he was content with not going for the knockout and going balls to the wall or something.

Im sure they will get a lot of that in Darchinyan vs Arce tonight

Mick... What more did you expect him to do? Really now. I see the Petersons get criticized all the time for doing the same thing Ward did last night. He stayed behind the jab, he never let off the gas pedal he threw plenty of power shots and not one time did I hear anyone in the crowd boo.

Buchanan was in there just to play defense and that's what he did. Ward stayed glued and in the end that's going to be what the difference is going to be between him and someone like Andre Dirrell who doesn't stay so composed thus he gets himself in trouble like in the Hanshaw fight.

It's pretty ridiculous how he can be criticized for what was a masterclass imo. With that said it's about time he stops joking around, his feet are well wet by now he's ready for contenders and champions so hopefully they can make that happen.

amat, the kids young he'll have other challenges (More important ones on higher levels) to put on a masterclass.

Fucken Buchanan is not opponent to masterclass...

Ward needs to go in there right now and impress the people he needs to create a fan base so that people will want to go see him. He's already got the backing of networks now he needs to fight with hunger and get in there and impress by taking out opponents.

You can't tell me that's all Ward had in the tank. If so then he's in deep shit. Ward could have pressed more and been more aggressive he did it for like 3 rounds (the early ones) and then let off.
