I've always been high on Montiel. I've considerd him to be the best of all the Flyweights (Super and Junior included). He came in as a boxer/mover. But has recently turned into a seek and destroy fighter. And has been impressive. His destruction of Luis Maldonado was done and quicker and more brutal than either Donaire or Darchinyan were. Montiel has all the tools and skill to beat Darchinyan. And I think he will. But it won't be easy. Montiel new style opens him up to more puinishment. And that's not good against someone like Vic. But Montiel has shown the ablity to get hurt and come back. Darchinyan hasn't yet. To me his chin is still weak. And Montiel has shown he has good power. I list Monteil at 10 in the p4p list. With Darchinyan just outside it. The winner I think moves into the top 5.

You really don't like giving Vic props huh? I remember you picked Mijares and Arce to beat him yet Vic dominated them. Even if you don't like Vic, you have to give him credit for his work this last year. Not many fighters challenge the top of the division and beat them in the same year. Moreover, he is one belt away from unifying his division.

That said, I agree that there are question marks surrounding Vic's chin. I even thought Arce stung him a bit. The thing is Vic's style makes him difficult to hit, and if Montiel can't touch his chin, he can't test it.

Another criticism of Vic is that he needs to learn to mix in some combination punching. He seems to load up on that left with the effect being it is telegraphed.

I'd def. favor "KO-Chulito" in this one.

I think he's superior then Vic and I think he's the better boxer.

Would Vic beat Montiel or visa versa that person should def. be top 6 P4P.

I read that Montiel was struggling to make 115 and was definitely going up to 118, which would kill a unification bout. If the match happened, I think Vic's pressure would be too much for Montiel. I'd rather see Vic vs. King Kong Agbeko at 118. That would be a barn burner.

    My Darchi fight picks:

    - Darchi vs. Donaire - i picked Donaire

    - Mijares vs. Darchi - i picked Darchi

    - Darchi vs. Arce - i picked Arce

If Montiel vs. Darchi happens, I pick Montiel to win...

If Donaire vs. Darchi rematch happens, I still pick Donaire to win again...

I gave Vic his credit. You must of missed it. I've always considered Montiel to be better than Darchinyan, Arce, Donaire and Mijares. I still feel the same way.
