Wow,Holyfield got promoted from top 3 to 1st.Nice.But What Butler did was an act of a coward and as dirty as it gets in the contenuim of a professional prize fight in the ring. Its not over simply because the bell rings.Hey....I hear you man,You believe what you will and thats where we'll leave it.To each his own.But I think your way off.Your right about Golota...The Foul Pole indeed, very dirty. He was like a light switch, just snapped in there when the going got rough,he had some skills though.
Echols too good one. Robert Guerrero right now is way dirty, if he can get away with something he does it. Look at his fight with Eric Aiken that was one of the dirtiest displays of punching I've ever seen to just get away with no warning at all.
Holyfield had to be dirty but like Spicoli said it was more just to show his opponents he wasn't soft when coming up from cruiser. He was possibly dirtier then Mike in their fights but Tyson made a few big mistakes.
Nigel Benn was also a verrry dirty fighter. He rabbit punched all the time and against Iran Barkley he was unloading huge power shots to a downed Barkley each time he dropped him. He also rabbit punched a whole lot.
Hey if you gotta know, he wrote the manual on fighting dirty: http://www.cyberboxingzone.com/boxing/zivic-dirty.pdf
Fighting dirty was Zivic's MO, if it wasn't for that he probably wouldn't have been able to overcome Hank Armstrong, or even make it into the HOF. There has been countless dirty fighters but perhaps none other than Fritzie Zivic have gone out of their way to fight dirty.
If you hear a voice within you saying that I am not a painter, then by all means paint and that voice will be silenced.
Good call on Guerrero,He can get foul big time.No way was Holyfield dirtier than Tyson...that funny,Tyson landed the first headbutt in the second fight, straight to Holyfields gut and launched him across the ring.Benn had looping wide shots that he lived and died by in some hectic fights. He only clearly clipped Barkley one time, the second KD from which Barkley sprung right up.He was wrong, but not intentional Imo.Barkley refused to address it saying he straight up lost...."No sour grapes' he kept saying.Class guy.
It has to be Zivic.
I'd also rate Evander, Hopkins, Golota & Tyson as dirty.
According to my research here's a little side note on Zivic.
I believe he is the boxer with the most loses to ever win a title.
He has 65 loses.
How about some trivia?
Who is currently the boxer who holds a major title with the most loses?
Heres one thatpeople overlook brought on by bad technique not really dirty but fouling never the less Ali![]()
