Dare I introduce Floyd Mayweather Jr into the best welterweight? I have to. I think he would beat SRL but Im not sure about SRR. What do you guys think?

Hagler would have chewed B-Hop up and spat out the pieces. Hopkins was a very very good fighter indeed, but he would certainly not have intimidated Marvin with all his trash talk.
He would not have been able to scuffle his way to victory, which would be his best chance of nicking the decision.
Hagler was a great great fighter indeed.
If God wanted us to be vegetarians, why are animals made of meat ?
You can't because he never proved against enough top quality WW's. I think Leonard beats Floyd at WW, and even if not, Floyd never beat a true great, natural WW in his prime. Leonard beat Benitez, Duran, and Hearns. That tops Oscar, Judah, and Baldomir. Hatton I don't count as a WW because he's really a LWW.
It's like calling Roy Jones the best MW. He just didn't stay there long enough.
I agree here THIRD MAN.
To say Hopkins or Hagler would beat Monzon and use the word "clearly" is outrageous.
Monzon was a fucken beast and like you say he did it with minimal traning and a crazy life style. I also rate Monzons opposition better then Haglers & Hopkins opposition.
Though I rate Emile as a Welterweight to say he wasn't a great Middle is off. Because Emile was a great period.
Your saying he wasn't a great because Rubin sparked him out in 1?
That's selling his entire career short based on 1 fight.
He also lost to fighters whom on any other night he would have handled with ease. Fighters like Fullmer & Gonzalez but it's part of the sport.
You can rest assured that Monzons wins over Emile def. carry weight in his legacy.
fantastic thread.....,hagler my favourite so i think he greatest middleweight ever
