So you are just referring to the place, the Philippines?? So why did you issue the statement below:

"(Donaire) may still be wasting his time fighting bums in the phillipines."

Are you suggesting fights in the Philippines are against bums??
    .
How is saying if it wasnt for Shaw Donaire may still be fighting bums in the phillipines got anything to do with me belittlling his fight with Martinez?

If it were not for Shaw giving Nonito the exposure he may well be fighting a much lesser opponent than Martinez cos good fighters like him wouldnt bother travelling to fight him.

Nonito and Martinez are both good quality fighters, it is a good fight no doubt. Point is other than in the Phillipines the Donaire Martinez fight is a non event. Maybe if Donaire had not thought himself to be better than what he was and left Shaw he might be making much more and the fight may be on Showtime.
There you go, you belittle this Donaire-Martinez fight in the Philippines. Look at the undercard, it's a world title fight between Solis and Viloria. Can you name one Darchinyan main event where there's a world title fight undercard? None, not even in Armenia or Australia...

I think this Donaire vs. Martinez card will also be a big event in California or in Martinez hometurf in San Antonio, Texas. These are important world title fights that cannot be considered as non event. This fight is not big as Darchi-Arce but I think it's also an important world title fight since both boxers are really good.

It is a non event compared to Vic v Arce, or Vic v Monteil.

Or say Donaire v Arce, or Donaire v Monteil.

Yes it pales in comparison to Vic vs. Arce (is Vic vs. Montiel already signed?? ) but still it's an important fight for Filipinos, Californians and Texans...

It's a good card. No doubt. Solis-Viloria really has my interest. But it not being shown on HBO or Show Time is the problem. He left Shaw cuz he said he needed more exposure. Is this what he had in mind? What they going to do? Put in on PPV (big mistake)?
