Good point; and yeah being in a worried state of mind would seem to be a serious distraction.....I will have to watch it again; but I seem to remember Tony doing and looking the same as every other fight.....Sloppy, hard chinned, and just trying to bulldog his way through a fight......not to mention his typical smiley face when he kept getting punched over and over; so he thought something was funny enough to not seem that worried

A better question SB is would Tony even have ever been in a position to fight Mosley, or Cotto, Cintron, Clottey or anyone else without those wraps; if indeed he's used them before this fight?

Of couse he could have beaten Mosley if his gloves were loaded. people dont understand that if you're getting hit with very hard shots it changes ur game plan. Shane had absolutely no respect for Margarito's power after he got hit and realize Margarito cant punch worth a shit. Excellent point. When you are hit by a hard puncher you definitely are a different fighter inside that ring and this opens up for the harder puncher to be able to throw more. Being that he should be the aggressor. Shane was not affected by what Margarito was throwing. So much so, that Mosley was even the guy pushing the fight all night long. Mosley was coming to and pushing Margarito to the ropes. At the time I was astounded. Now I know why. Margarito wasn't what we thought he was.

Why not so astounded in hindsight?Margarito in style was exactly what we thought he was.A pressure fighter who took shots and applied volume pressure,really not that much left to the imagination.As to what ifs and scenarios surrounding past fights,your conclusions are reached.

What ever The fallout of Wrap-Gate,the process is being handeled and punishmenst dealt out rightfully so.Maybe it was Shane that was not what many thought he was going into that fight.......a former champion easily on the other side of career there for easy pickings.

IMO , i don't think so , now in that fight Mosley had to been analyze the fight between Cotto vs Margaro , he knew what to do and took advantage of the opportunity that Cotto didn't take , so i was one that thought that this fight would finish by UD not by KO......................Mosley strategy was very successful

Margarito couldn't hit mosley. He was hitting cotto. He just couldn't connect too well on mosley. He did land more punches in rounds 7 and 8 until he got ktfo by that surprise left.

Do you think Margo being caught cheating for a very serious grave offense was one of the reasons why he couldn't hit Mosley? Margo could be in a worried, distracted state of mind... No concentration at all in that fight...

About the punches he did land in rounds 7 and 8, if his gloves were loaded with bricks, would it have slowed down and weakened Mosley?
