Margarito couldn't hit mosley. He was hitting cotto. He just couldn't connect too well on mosley. He did land more punches in rounds 7 and 8 until he got ktfo by that surprise left.

Do you think Margo being caught cheating for a very serious grave offense was one of the reasons why he couldn't hit Mosley? Margo could be in a worried, distracted state of mind... No concentration at all in that fight...
About the punches he did land in rounds 7 and 8, if his gloves were loaded with bricks, would it have slowed down and weakened Mosley?

this question is sick.
Almost like saying "do you think margarito would of beaten mosley if he was allowed to take a brick into the ring with him"
I personally dont wanna know or even think about the answer to this one!!
one dangerous horrible bloke
No, for two reasons. One, Margo's punches are always wide, and Mosley's speed allowed him to avoid the brunt of most blows. Two, Mosley made sure to stay close to Margo and warp up when necessary, thus not allowing Margo room for his long arms to get any leverage. The wraps would not have helped him.

Holloway Reflects on Fateful Margarito Sparring Session - Boxing News Don't give me that BS he didn't know! it just falls on deaf ears....
Having an advantage like that is like hitting someone with a blunt object (a brick) but it's adding capability to an already powerful weapon. Look at what happened to Holloway! The damage it inflicts is bone crushing.... Even with bad boxing skills it gives him a tremendous advantage. Possibly Mosley comes out the winner (assuming Margarito never gets a flush hit) but it's just not the same fight because blows to any part of the body have more impact, damage and effect and Mosley is slowed which gives Margarito more opportunity to land that flush blow. Margarito is good but not great without the advantage....
