I agree that speed was a factor in the fight, but I believe that Shane's fight plan of not allowing Margarito to work inside was the key for his victory. I do not believe that Cotto was planning to move as much as he did against Margarito and once he realized that he could not deal with his loaded gloves he was left with no other option but to stay away. We have to take into account that Margarito was not going to go out of his way on the attack against Sugar Shane knowing that his punches were not going to have the same effect. I do not take anything away from Shane he was brilliant and he won fair and square and I am so glad that he did not have to win despite Margarito's loaded gloves, because I am not sure how Cotto is going to react in his next fight with Jennings if in fact Margarito was loaded. I recall that at the end of Margarito and Daniel Santos fight wich was stopped on cuts, Santos told Margarito in spanish how incredibly hard his punches were, that was a bit strange to me at the time but I guess now lives room for speculation. Any way, I am new member of your forum, but I have been enjoying your postings for quite some time.
