He looks in good shape, but it still does'nt alter the fact that he is past his best and there for the taking.

    .........Barrera........Khan
    Age: .....35..........22
    Height:...5′ 6″..... 5′ 10″
Reach: ..70“....... Def more (not on Boxrec)
    Fights had: 72 .....20

He has a lot againsed him, his best weight ain't 135 and he has been in some serious wars. It would be a crackin win if he can KO Khan, fingers crossed.

Fights has 72-20 Experience advantage this will defenetly come into play in their fight
I do think Barrera will pull it off.

    Reach 70" - 72"

I've seen all kinds of different heights given to Barrera I'm 5'5" he 'seems' a fraction over 5'6" though I could be wrong but I don't think the height will that much of an issue. If I can tag guys with my stumpy lady arms at Khan's height I'm sure Barrera can

Never can tell these days, seems as if the old warriors who suffered a loss or two are coming back with points to prove, unless Barrera ends up on the Chris Byrd end of things when he looks great but ends up getting beat embarrassingly.

If Kahn wins though it really will be a version of Barrera no where near his best. A primed Marco Antonio Barrera beats Amir Kahn like the school yard bully and a class of kindergarten kids

Don't get me wrong, it's MUCH better that he looks in good shape that if he looked pudgy or gaunt.. BUT, i'm sure we could make a list 100 fighters long who in just the last year have come into fights looking ripped and it hasn't helped their cause..

Even the older fighters like Jones etc looked pretty darn good in their pre-fight shots,,, but ripped doesn't always equate to bringing back their speed and endurance and that determination to go 110% every round like a young fighter can..

I'm just saying i've been impressed with how fighters have looked before fights, and been let down many times by their performance, so I don't pay much attention to that sort of thing anymore.. Although good for him that he's in decent shape.

And I still think Khan is losing this one..

Diz. Well it kinda shuts a few people up who were having a laugh at him being 'out of shape' in the last couple of WARM UP FIGHTS

to me it demonstrates he's at least taking it seriously.

    Game - will do.

Predict khan to try and flurry & work from the outside. I also predict the first meaningful straight right and left to the body that Barrera lands should tell us everything about Khan's china chin and body.

Anyone notice the biggest puncher in the lightweight division (Khan's words) had a spot of bother at the weekend?

Yeah that's true... I mean taking the fight seriously and getting yourself in the best shape you can at that stage of your career is half the battle.. :-) But on fight day being ripped can sometimes mean nothing..
Barrera is one of my fav. fighters so I hope he really does great and that his physique speaks lots about what he's bringing to fight night.

If he beats Khan I'm gonna have an all-out bet that Erik is coming back. Guaranteed.
