Haven't actually seen Gerry fight since he stopped Gonzales, but unless he has shown to have gotten much older since then noone should have anything bad to say about this fight. Juan Ma is a beast but Penalosa is still tough as nails and a big step up.
Might just be one leap too many for Penalosa.I think Lopez should jump on him right out of the gate...the longer it goes though,Gerry is one of the craftiest guys around.Just dont think he can match Lopezs strengh. He'll have to weather a furious beginning to bout but chances get better down the stretch I believe,Lopez is a force, but still a bit raw and green.Penalosa had better invest in that early body work.
Is like i said before , in this Division the only who can give good fight is Israel Vazquez and Rafael Marquez , to me probably Penalosa just want a good purse for the retirement , he know what would happen , Juanma Lopez is a Devastator in this division.............is a young with hungry that want try to liquidate to all in this division.................
Might have to change his name from Fearless to teethless. I literally give him no chance against Lopez. He's got everything going against them. If this fight is even competitive than I think the fix might be in.
Will be a great fight...JuanMa should win but he can not in anyway sleep on Gerry or he will end up with a loss for sre

Pretty flawed statement there, we have no idea what a 60% Lopez is, that's what makes the fight interesting is that he is completely untested in the championship rounds, he's blown out his best opponents on paper in the first. I won't argue with you that Gerry has most everything tangible going against him and Lopez is probably a good bet, you obviously have seen more of both fighters than I have. Having said that, Gerry hasn't been seriously hurt in a fight to my knowledge, and if Lopez doesn't blast him out it should be interesting to see what kind of pace he can maintain and whether he holds up in the late rounds. Penalosa is fully capable of changing the fight with one shot as Gonzales found out, he may also just invest to the body early and hang tough. Has Juanma ever even been past 5 or 6? I won't check but certainly not against a live body or recently. If nothing else it's an excellent measuring stick to see what Lopez can really bring over 12 rounds, not to say it will necessarily go that far. What if he tries to blast him out a la Ponce but Penalosa starts landing to the body and stays right there with him? Maybe Juan is a complete front runner or doesn't take a shot to well. I've certainly seen nothing to suggest it's out of the question.
Gerry is too good not to give some chance, but it hink that 122 is just too big for him. His last attempt at that weight was far from succesful. I wish him the best and think he can go rounds with Juanma, and Lopez will learn a lot fighting Gerry.
Ahh yes... looking forward to the next JuanMa fight. Actually, I'm hoping JuanMa gets in a bit more work than the last three fights. These 1-rounders do nothing to get him the big fight experience he needs.
To penalosa's credit i think he will make it out of the first half of the first round though....
