Gerry is too good not to give some chance, but it hink that 122 is just too big for him. His last attempt at that weight was far from succesful. I wish him the best and think he can go rounds with Juanma, and Lopez will learn a lot fighting Gerry.

Ahh yes... looking forward to the next JuanMa fight. Actually, I'm hoping JuanMa gets in a bit more work than the last three fights. These 1-rounders do nothing to get him the big fight experience he needs.

After seeing Hopkins upset Pavlik & Mosley KO Margarito, I'll give Gerry a Good Chance of an upset. Gerry's a masterboxer, Iron Chinned & has a Decent Power. JuanMa really is not a Speedy guy, He's got Power but Power won't matter if it cannot LAND ON THE BUTTON. Gerry's solid defensively so I don't see a juanMa KO.
Gerry's only Chance is a one Punch KO. It will be either by a Body Punch or a Plush left hook to the Chin of Juanma. Juanma's too inexperience. His Fights are mostly a Quick KO. He was taken to the distance by lesser fighter than Gerry. No way Gerry wins the decision in Puerto Rico so I think Gerry will go for Broke for a KO around the Middle of the fight. My wish result is Gerry KO by a Body punch around rd 9. It's not Likely but I'm wishing for an Upset.

To penalosa's credit i think he will make it out of the first half of the first round though....

Unless he's just gotten old overnight this could be a tough fight, he's way too skilled and tough to get blown out early by JuanMa, if that happens I'd be shocked. I don't know, I just have a lot of respect for Penalosa, and he's looked pretty good lately, should have gotten the decision versus Ponce, stopped Gonzalez, he has been inactive though but still this is JuanMa's biggest step up.

						Sup guys,
been gone for a while but wanted to stop by and say my prediction for this fight. of course my boy JuanMa. 5 or 6th round stoppage for me. Gerry is a great fighter but at this stage, JuanMa is too strong, to young and to much of a force for the ageing Penalosa. This also is the best fight JuanMa could take leading up to a fight with the likes of Vasquez, Marquez and Caballero.JuanMa baby!!

I think JuanMa knocks him out in the first half of the fight but I wouldn't mind seeing it go longer just to see him get some rounds in against a quality boxer. But he's got scary power at that weight so I don't think it'll last too long.

You gotta be kidding me. Penalosa is too smart of a fighter to engage early. he has great defense and stupendous counterpunching. And correct me if I'm wrong, I think he hasn't hit the canvass in his entire career. It's no secret that Juanma probably packs the hardest punch p4p, but fans are overexaggerating and is delusional if they really think Penalosa is going out early.
An empty can is always noisy.
Many wrote off Gerry Peñalosa in the Jhonny Gonzales fight and got the surprise in their lives when Peñalosa KO'ed J-Gonz with one punch to the liver...
