Is boxing more dangerous than it used to be?

Did they even have video cameras back when the boxed with no gloves? I've never seen a 'legal' bare knuckle boxing match.

Or do they already have pens and papers to record the deaths and brain damages fighters suffered during those times?

Has James Parkinson have atleast been born when they use to fight using bareknuckles?

First Off, I believe and agree that boxing is not more dangerous than it used to be but having said that I also think it has to be qualified as 'in general'. Example: Stepping into the ring against Hatton is far more dangerous than stepping into the ring against Carson Jones.

Make no mistake any blow to the head is dangerous padded or otherwise. And the effect blows have to the brain accumulate. A concussion happens when the brain slams against the skull. Some have a small effect and others have a large effect and they all cause damage. Boxing in and of itself is a dangerous sport.
