Marquez has not faced 'arguably' a better class of fighters, he's faced a better class of fighters hands down. I am amazed at how often he goes into a fight with a luke-warm reception via the press and fans, and at the end of it has them standing up and proclaiming him the best pound-for-pound (only to have the same luke-warm reception a few months later). It seems people forget just how good he is. Truly an elite fighter and the premier successor of JC Superstar. Juan Diaz is an exciting young fighter with a great future and may someday be in spoken of with similar recognition, but he certainly isn't there yet.

Dead on. Baby Bull had a lot of trouble with, and lost, to Campbell. Marquez is a big step up from Campbell. I wouldn't be shocked to see Marquez hit the canvas early on but hell, most JMM fans are used to that scenario. Diaz's wide punches and straight-ahead attack will be an open invitation to Marquez's counter-punching, and over time will put Diaz off his game. Frustration will take hold, allowing Marquez to become the aggressor.

Should be a very exciting fight, with two relentless fighters going toe to toe for much of it, but Marquez's supreme skill and experience will outshine Diaz's youth and aggression.

Marquez by late round TKO or UD.

btw, this is my first post on Saddo, and hope to contribute more to this great community in the future. I appreciate the experience and overall maturity of the posted here (can't say that about many boxing boards these days).
