It doesn't really matter what the odds were before the fight. The guys who set the odds were banking on a relatively Oscar-like Oscar turning up for the fight and that didn't happen. Manny beat a shell of a fighter. Having said that I think he'll beat Hattton. But then Floyd will beat Manny.

At this point, I still consider PAC as the current no. 1 P4P boxer. Starting from PAC-JMM rematch fight, PAC's win over JMM, David Diaz and Hoya is far greater achievement than JMM's win over Casa and Juan Diaz... So JMM didn't overtake PAC just yet...

You are soo biased that you have not a valid opinion to your name. If Pac wasn't fighting, you wouldn't even watch boxing. Why the fuck would anyone care what you said??

It's close but Marquez is the best p4p fighter at the moment, just look at his last few fights!!

I explained myself on the first page of the thread. I contemplated voting for Vic, but even as a joke I couldn't make myself do it.

D diaz&ODLH wins are an achievement only on paper but not were it really matters in the actual fights themselves, I said it before and ill say it again Pac has had a nice and smooth ride (since the JMM fights) for now and Hatton is going to test him big time.

    I've just noticed something.

"Who says JMM is number 1?"

Mexican (or mexican-american): JMM is numero uno!!!!

    Filipinos: Pac is number 1!!!

The bandwagons (after Pac demolished DLH): Pac is number 1!!!

The bandwagons (after JMM destroyed Diaz): JMM (edited) is numero uno!!!

    That sums it all.

I better trust Ring Magazine to do the decision of who's number 1.

Pac has been ducking the greek Mighty Mike for years. I say that until he cleans up this business, which he even admitted he was avoiding, he is still number 2.

Pac has been playing darts and all sorts of shit to avoid Mike. His time will come and the victory will be worth the wait.

I think they're even at the moment.

Both of their head-to-head fights were so close that they could've gone either way. I scored both as one-point Pac wins, but I wouldn't argue with anyone who scored both as Marquez victories.

Pacquiao accomplished more at 126/130 by beating Morales twice and dominating Barrera twice, whereas Marquez only has the 1 win over Barrera.

Marquez has faced tougher opposition in his last two fights, but Pacquiao has been more dominant.

If Pacquiao can beat Hatton, that will be more impressive than any of Marquez's wins, and will put Pac slightly ahead of Marquez again.

But there's only one way to settle this issue... get Pacquiao and Marquez in the ring a third time!

No, that would make you part of the bandwagon unless your mother can trace your origin to mexico.

Pacquiao quite rightly deserves to be considered as the p4p best even though many including myself think marquez deserved one if not both of the decisions when they fought.

Marquez leaps out into 2nd with only bhop, cotto and izzy taking up the chase
