Do not go over the top. Hatton is the best 140lb fighter in the world at this moment. The shots that Diaz landed would be a lot harder and more effective against JMM.

It seems people are getting a bit carried away with JMM win.....He didnt beat a fighter of Maywethers caliber last night, he beat a fighter that just lost not to long ago.....Hatton and Diaz have similar styles except Hatton is a little rougher and punches alot harder.....JMM was getting tagged often by Diaz and if Diaz had a little more power that fight may have ended differently......

Dont get me wrong I am not taking anything away from JMM but to say that he beats Hatton based on his fight yesterday is nuts......

Marquez is like vintage wine and this sets up a cracking fight with the Hatton/Pac winner too.

JMM showed how a great fighter he is. If I had not followed his career I could think that Diaz was going to win in the early rounds. But, the ones who had follow JMM career (as I do) know how he can manage pressure and troubles, not only in this fight but thru his career. I would like to see a rematch with Pacman because I still think both fights were draws. I am hoping to have a more clear winner next time, if they fight again.

I agree completely. Marquez seems to have carried up to 135 quite well. But 140 is a different court completely and Hatton is a different animal to Diaz. I don't think Marquez would beat Hatton, but he would make it very interesting. He would be too small IMO, and it could turn out like a longer version of the Castillo fight.

Hatton is bigger and stronger than Diaz and Diaz was bullying Marquez in the first 2rounds, and he hurt Marquez.I dont think Hatton would have let him of the hook if Hatton hurt him.

Marquez showed what a hell of a fighter is by turning the fight around and ko'ing Diaz.

I think Marquez would use lots of movement from the start if he fights the hitman but in the end he would find Hatton to stong and powerfull and stop him late.

You're suggesting that Marquez's performance was not worthy of talking up?

Thumbs up Re: Jmm Is The Fookin Man!!!!!!!

The thing for me that made the difference was the experience and better skills of Marquez. Yes he got mobbed Diaz as he came on strong in a big way in the first couple of rounds but it was clear (to me) that Marquez was looking to select his shots rather than just survive or charge in like Diaz.
He weathered the storm and got to work at distance. I think by round 4 we could see how this was beginning to play out. The only doubt was going to be who tired most first.

    Very good performance by Marquez.

I thought that was pretty koo too.
Pacquiao really doesnt want none of that...IMO Pacman is waiting for JMM's age to catch up to him then fight him again.

how will you describe this post Missy? Pac waiting for JMM's age to catch up? What's this? making an excuse as early as now in case Pac demolishes JMM?

This is the guy who said that JMM was too old for Pac during their last fight and now he's saying again that Pac is waiting for JMM to get old (again?).

how many times must a man get old? LOL.

I'm wondering what he would say now in case Pac fights JMM. That JMM is too old, etc. etc.

your post was not directed at one person.

    Regardless of personal agenda.
The fact is in boxing terms Marquez is old and at some point if he doesn't retire first his age will catch up with him, I'm sure for the first couple of rounds on Saturday people were seriously considering that point.

Calzaghe waited till Hopkins/Jones were long in the tooth before growing a pair big enough to fight them.

Yeah.. Calzaghe waited until he was long in the tooth himself and his left hand was almost completely useless before growing a pair big enough
