I just dont get the hate Khan recieves, fair enough his opposition hasnt been of a high enough standard for my liking but people seem to forget the kids still young, why rush him ? So first up reasons i like Khan:

He's an exciting fighter, i havent seen a modern fighter throw those lighting combo's in a long time and his matches are always entertaining for the crowd. In fact the least entertaining of them all against Gary st. Clair is oddly the one he gets the most credit for. He's a nice lad, not the brightest fair enough but a nice lad all the same, some people on here *cough* ICB *cough* seem to want to make him out to be the devil incarnate. So what if he's got a glass chin, hes got speed and power which makes for great entertainment ! I can understand people wanting MAB to win, he's a living legend and youve followed his careers for a long time but his time is gone and its time, for the good of boxing as a whole to get some young blood on the scene to liven things up. The venemous attacks on Khan on this forum have in my opinion seriously devalued it, as brought up in another thread i do believe his ethnicity is a factor in this. Never have i seen such a willfull hatred against a fighter here, and ive been browsing for a good few years now.

Secondly why i think he'll beat Barrera. He is fast, very fast. barrera while not "shot" is not the fighter he once was and Khan has good stamina too, can the same be said for MAB at this stage of his career ? As another person mentioned earlier MAB's KO ratio has not exactly been stellar of late. I personally think people really underestimate khan's talent due to the hype backlash, you really think Roach would have taken him on if he wasnt championship material and do you really think those rounds of sparing with the Pacman wouldnt have done him the world of good ? Ok i know its only 1 fight and i was against poor opposition but Khans defence looked much much better against Fagan, keeping a high guard and tucking up nicely.

So there's my 2 cents and ill be cheering for Khan all the way and hopes he goes on to become a big factor in the lightweight division. MAB's had a great career, is an absolute legend and personally am a fan but his time is gone, its time to pass the torch on to the next generation and for MAB to retire gracefully before he starts to damage his health.

Well, a bit long but ive been reading a lot of the topics aboutt this matchup on here and is this is something i actually have knowledge about decided to put in one of my very rare posts. Thats my 2 cents and personally i cant wait, a real cracker this ones gonna be methinks!
fair enough.

Trainers get paid win, lose or draw.

If you mean by 'liven things up' to mean expect him to get KTFO at any point then yes, I suppose he does.

'why rush him' I don't buy the fact of his age being a factor, there are many world class fighters who were much better boxers by his age, they also had one major advantage Khan will never have. A good chin. They also don't tend to say the silly things he has done..but Warren should be guarding against that rather than going for the any publicity is good publicity angle.

Fagan - the guy who had a broken ankle?

Sparring is sparring. Sparring IMO should be tailored towards who you are fighting. I don't see that PAC's style resembles Barrera in any form...ok maybe height.

MAB's KO% has not been great recently...doesn't really take in to account who those fights were against.

Khan will not be a major player in the lightweight division. Take a look at last weekends fight, do you see Khan being able to handle what the likes of Marquez or Diaz can bring? Maybe when Marquez is 40

p.s. Timing beats speed for an example go watch maquez vs diaz.
