Soto is amazing, but I wouldn't really call him a newcomer anymore, he's been pro for over 10 years and fought for titles. Both he and Antillon, I expect to have breakout years in 2009 though!!
Antillon has champion written all over him.Would pay top dollar to see that mash up

David Rodriguez is a heavyweight to keep an eye on in the future. Good body puncher and seems to have a good left hook and chin.

No way about Tyson FUry, or the Kirkland-Julio winner, Kirkland is has way too many holes in his defense, and a poor chin, a good boxer would pick him apart, and Julio isn't all that either.

    Guys to watch are

Demetrius Andrade, Gary Russell Jr (and all these brothers when they eventually go pro, so start watching them in the amateurs), Erislandy Lara, Gamboa(could still getting bigger in popularity), Rigondeaux, Raushee Warren(if he ever goes pro), Omar Henry, DeGale, Matt Korobov, that other guy with big wins already, Beibut Shumenov, Juan Manuel Lopez, Victor Ortiz, Danny Jacobs, Petterson brothers, Dirrell, Andre Ward, Amir Khan.

Obviously there can be obstacles in any of these guys roads, but these are the guys I see likely to do well in the future, though obviously some of them will fall due to bad chins, mistakes they can't correct, etc.

If your looking for the next american Roy Jones or Mayweather caliber fighter, then I suggest watching Rau'Shee Warren, and the Gary Russell brothers their credentials are great for their age, they have amazing athletic ability, they are tough, but obviously there are other qualities PBF and RJJ had, and I think out of 6 amazing brothers, and Rau'Shee there is bound to be at least one of them that is amazing at the pro level.

Also look to Brittain and Thailand, their amateur programs are going crazy, which means better athletes and better coaching is happening. China too, if they ever let their amateur boxers go.
Rau'Shee has said he is going to go for the 2012 Olympics, I wonder if he's going to go stale in the amateurs, definately a talent though, I would much rather see him turn pro.

Not sold on McEwan, I really like Concepcion though, great footwork and mixes his punches up nicely.

Devon Alexander's calling out Nate Campbell, I honestly haven't seen enough of him for some reason to say much.

Since most everyone's been taken, I'll go with Roman Gonzalez. I know he's not really a newcomer but he's a young kid with a lot of talent and he's under the radar due to weight and everybody else I was thinking of has been noted all ready.

I don't know how good he could be but, Alexander Frenkel, young ish german cruiserweight, unbeaten in 15, reminds me a little of Marciano ha, we'll see.

I caught a guy called Danny Garcia on the undercard of JMM/Diaz, he looked like a good prospect, some good combinations and movement, pretty slick, think he's only had ten fights so who knows. Maybe one to watch though, fightin at welter...

Jacobs was also on that card, although i've seen him a few times before too and he seriously needs to up the level of competition.....

Funny thing I know Danny Garcia he sparred a couple of times at the gym I work out of. He was going to the 2008 Olympic but was robbed I believe in Texas to the hometown boy. I believe he had ballpark 285 amatuer fight's. He sparred with everyone in the gym and only 1 guy who is the trainer was able to hit him. Danny is an awesome talent and will be a champ someday.

Excellent, i'm gonna be keepin my eyes out for him for sure. Its difficult to catch early fights of an american talent when your from the UK, but i shall be lookin. I was surely impressed.

Surprised nobody has mentioned him to be honest.

    Default olympians and new talent

Alot of new talent has came out this year, tyson fury, all the olympic boxers. Who is everyone getting the vibes about? i rate them all so far but saunders looks good as a pro the most natural.

If i had to take a punt on the most succesful out of the Olympians this side of the pond im most excited about Darren Sutherland, i think he smashes De Gale if they ever meet, after that i think Gavin is obviously the most talanted but its to early to say, history shows that the probability is none of them will become world champs.
