Pound for pound fighters don't get knocked out by Cliff Couser. Barrett stopping D level Ty Fields must of really impressed you
I'm still waiting for you to show me how washed up (ex) drug addict Oliver McCall is a significantly better opponent than Monte "Pound for Pound" Barrett.

LOL. You don't follow much Boxing do you? McCall even at his advance age and after years of abusing his body will always be a better fighter than Monte Barrett. McCall came into the Gomez fight 10-0 in his last 10 fights. Your pound for pound Barrett went into the Haye fight 5-5 in his last 10 fights. He had been knocked the fukk out in 3 of those fights. LOL. Real impressive stuff

Almost every guy McCall fought out of ten had more losses than wins in his past few fights, the opposite with Barrett. Barret lost to guys like Valuev and Rahman and generally fought a far higher class of fighter than the club fighters McCall was beating. There's no question he was operating at a better level than bloody Oliver mcCall, so if beating McCall earns you a shot at the title then beating Barrett should do the same. It's not like the heavyweight division is overstocked with talent is it? If the Klitschkos did fight Haye it'd be the first live body either of them have been in with for years.

His eliminator was against Virches who was a legit contender; not McCall. ALthough you dont seem to care too much about being factual.

I didn't say it wasn't and if Virches is a legit contender for a title then so is David haye.

Based on what? I'm not sure what exactly it is Barrett has over you. But you need to look at facts. He's a shot fighter who in his prime lost every big fight he was in. Beating him means nothing.

Pity Oliver Mcall isnt fighting i think he'd be a good tune up for Haye. True heavyweight power and chin.

McCall is easily equally shot too. He beat Lewis but Buster Douglas beat Tyson and when he made a comeback he got nothing but scorn and derision, yet he hadn't spent chunks of the intervening years locked up or on drugs/recovering from drugs. McCall, Barrett etc. are a bunch of retreads and neither is much better than the other. Trying to make a case that one is far better than the other and that beating him gives you a legitimate claim to a heavyweight title shot but not the other is just silly. If beating McCall makes you a legit challenger then so does beating Barrett.
