Former world cruiserweight champion David ‘The Hayemaker’ Haye has offered to box in Germany on a K2 Promotions show in order to revive negotiations for a summer showdown with WBO and IBF world heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko. Originally scheduled to take place on June 20 at Stamford Bridge in London, Haye’s eagerly anticipated duel with Klitschko has hit a series of snags in recent weeks, and now appears on the brink of collapse. Haye’s trainer and manager Adam Booth says the Klitschko camp has distorted some of the facts. “David will fight Wladimir anywhere they choose, and give them the two rematch options they have requested….what they’re also demanding is that if David were to win against Wladimir and then have a mandatory challenger obligation (non-Klitschko) he would have to immediately vacate the title he won from Wladimir. This would mean David could win three fights against the Klitschko brothers and still not be in a position to officially call himself heavyweight champion of the world at the end of it. They (the Klitschkos) would make exactly the same money in Germany as they would in England because we have dropped our figure to go to Germany. If they take a proposed fight with Chris Arreola, they will make substantially less. So people can now work this out for themselves.”

But not if they have it in his mum's living room. A good ol' cramped South London council flat's living room will be too small for Wlad & he'l probably get knocked out by the lightbulb, making David Heavyweight Champ of the world. I think that Adam Booth should explore having it in MY living room, Wlad's chin would get taken out by the doorframe before he even steps into 5ft by 7ft ring I would stick inside

In all honesty though, I think it being in Germany might almost suit Haye better, as there would be less pressure on him & the hate would probably only galvanize him to a better performance. He's not a guy who needs others to love him (he loves himself more than enough)

Apples and Oranges, Calzaghe is clearly a fighter who feels comfortable at home... his career is proof of that.

Haye's on the other hand, is proof that he 100% does not give a fuck where or when.

I read before that Klitschko is demanding a cut of UK TV rights. If this is true, he must be fucking joking. Last year we were treated to three Wlad Klitschko fights, not one of which was a good performance by Wlad. No fucker in Britain wants to watch this guy. UK TV is what Haye brings to the table for fucks sake, and when they're saying Klitschko is considering fighting Arreola for $2 Million less, that kinda puts into perspective the kind of champ Wlad is. Wlad needs to take a leaf out of his brothers book and grow a set of balls. Sometimes I think he is quite comfortable and content to hide in his brother's shadow.

Put the fight on at The Den then, who do you think the locals (& I am one) would spend their money to see? If Haye was about home comforts he would have every fight at the Den in his own community in Bermondsey. He's a guy who really is not fussed about where he fights as the Mormeck fight shows. The fight would Enzo would have been on in Cardiff if not for the fact it was in winter. The fact is that the Klitschko camp know that put the event on in Germany & yes it will be a packed house, but it will be just another Klitschko fight. Put it on in London & the atmosphere & hype the British press & public generate will make it an EVENT.

Whatever Lyle! Fact is Haye will bring more bums to seats than anyone else Wlad will face unless he fought his own brother.

But just like that "dream match" Wlad knows the outcome would be him lying on the canvas counting the light bulbs in the arena if he did fight Haye, thats why he's putting it off and you know it!
