LOL. You don't follow much Boxing do you? McCall even at his advance age and after years of abusing his body will always be a better fighter than Monte Barrett. McCall came into the Gomez fight 10-0 in his last 10 fights. Your pound for pound Barrett went into the Haye fight 5-5 in his last 10 fights. He had been knocked the fukk out in 3 of those fights. LOL. Real impressive stuff
Almost every guy McCall fought out of ten had more losses than wins in his past few fights, the opposite with Barrett. Barret lost to guys like Valuev and Rahman and generally fought a far higher class of fighter than the club fighters McCall was beating. There's no question he was operating at a better level than bloody Oliver mcCall, so if beating McCall earns you a shot at the title then beating Barrett should do the same. It's not like the heavyweight division is overstocked with talent is it? If the Klitschkos did fight Haye it'd be the first live body either of them have been in with for years.
His eliminator was against Virches who was a legit contender; not McCall. ALthough you dont seem to care too much about being factual.

I didn't say it wasn't and if Virches is a legit contender for a title then so is David haye.

Pity Oliver Mcall isnt fighting i think he'd be a good tune up for Haye. True heavyweight power and chin.

I wonder, is David Haye actually going to get around to fighting this year? Even if he does get something inked, its looking like he's only going to fight the once. He should at least stay busy...

BOTTOM LINE -- Klit is champ and is doing Haye anhuge favour by allowing him a free shot at the no.1 (not undisputed IMO but still top) without earning it at heavyweight.

Klit should just call his bluff, Haye has absolutely no one of worth lined up (and zero intention either) as he doesn't want to risk his 'hard earned' shot.

I just read that Wlad has given Haye until March 21st to come to terms or it's off.

Wladimir Klitschko Gives David Haye a March 21 Deadline

if Haye doesn't man up all his fan boys like Lefty have no excuse, cause all he'll prove is that he's shitting bricks bout getting into the ring with Wlad, but seriously this is getting annnoying already, more twists and turns than a damn episode of "As the world turns" lol

this is great news. Now maybe Haye can prove himself at heavyweight some? Didn't Haye say he'd fight two heavyweights and Wladimer fight two mandatories and then they'd fight? Or at least thats what he was blasting to Wladimer when they had their face to face. Fight two top 10 guys Haye like you said you would.

If Haye had just 2 fights vs some decent heavyweights who will fight back then a Haye-Klitschko match up means more money, more buzz, and it may mean Haye has a better chance at winning.

The Haye fans are scared of Haye fighting anyone other than a Klitschko because if David fights and loses to either Wlad or Vitali maybe they can say "he took on the best and lost and there is nothing bad about that", or say he "wasn't ready for the title shot yet" or some bullshit like that but if Haye fought Oleg Maskaev and got his ass whupped then David would look like Audley Harrison

McCall is easily equally shot too. He beat Lewis but Buster Douglas beat Tyson and when he made a comeback he got nothing but scorn and derision, yet he hadn't spent chunks of the intervening years locked up or on drugs/recovering from drugs. McCall, Barrett etc. are a bunch of retreads and neither is much better than the other. Trying to make a case that one is far better than the other and that beating him gives you a legitimate claim to a heavyweight title shot but not the other is just silly. If beating McCall makes you a legit challenger then so does beating Barrett.
