Cookie just got outclassed and outgunned by a far superior fighter.

Martinez has all the tools to challenge the big boys at 130 and eventually move on to the premier light division 135.

Nickys always been very limited with his talents but does have a decent chin so it was rather dissapointing to see him get ko`d inside 4.

Still think it was a bad stoppage though and he should of been allowed to get the round out and get back to his corner!!

Perfect left uppercut (JMM style) and finishing left hook by Martinez. He's pretty tall for that division. And I see him defending that title many times.

I would like to see him fight Luevano again. Or his own countryman Santiago.

I don't know... he barely made the count on the 1st knockdown, and got caught flush again on the 2nd knockdown. I don't know how you can call that a "bad stoppage." You can't blame the ref for preventing a fighter from getting seriously hurt.

It sure wasn't a bad stoppage. That KO reminded me of Casa-Kats and PBF-Hatton. Cooke was totally disoriented and the legs wasn't there for him no more. Martinez put him back to the cookie jar where he belongs. lol!

    Martinez hasn't fought Luevano.
It was Santiago who fought Luevano.

However a Martinez vs. Luevano fight would not be far off as they both hold WBO titles and it's much easier to make fights happen when both hold titles with the same org.

Mah bad. I thought I heard one of the commentators said that Martinez fought Luevano before. I sure love to see Santiago and Luevano exchange knockdowns again.

Great win for Martinez, I'm o.k. with the stoppage! There are some top fighters at 130 with Soto, Linares, Guerrero but I think he should target the likes of a Baloyi, Juarez or Barrios...

Imagine a fight with Antillon! That would be awesome!!!
