Well, I think it safe to say that the majority of posters here agree that the fight should have been declared void. And judging by what I have been reading elsewhere on the web this does seem to be the prevailing view.

I don't think Khan has won over critics with what happened against Barrera. Not by a long shot.

Its the letting it continue, exactly long enough to go to the cards thing that bugs me. It reeks of BS.Im not saying Khan didnt do his work in there, but the way it ended was big time BS

None of this is about being anti Khan or not wanting to give him his dues, which is what I have been accused of this past week. I was dissapointed by his post fight comments, and said openly that he lacked class. I stand by that statement. I also said Khan was a big gay prior to the fight. Of course, that was just a pre-fight wind up. Khan won the rounds and did what he needed to do, fair play to him for doing that. Though his job was made relatively easy as Barrera was having to adjust to the loss of vision and a chunk being taken out of his head.

My gripe is the same the one you have. Allowing it to go on like that was disgraceful. Admittedly, it's not easy to make big decisions in the heat of the moment. But they had over a quarter an hour to make a decisive move and stop it. And they resolutely failed to respond. That's what gets me. Allowing a guy to bleed profusely was an act of gross misconduct on the part of the officials. The doctor didn't think a 3 inch wound, that had been spurting blood since the 2nd minute of the fight, was cause for immediate alarm? And yet it was suddenly enough to stop it 4 minutes later, despite it having been just as out of control for the previous quarter of an hour!

Khan is a silly, silly man if he thinks that this has answered any critics? Seriously.
