Bilbo, what is the best way to convert PAL to NTSC?

I have lots of editing software but don't worry about that because I have nothing but pirate versions of everything and I can pretty much get anything from warez sites, so tell me what do you suggest is the best way? Sorry if you are against Warez but I can not afford to buy any of these programs. If I paid for all the programs I have, it would be in the thousands

Yeah, don't worry about it these companies rip everyone off, so fuck em. If you've got any copies of Avid Xpress Pro or Avid Editor, I can try talk you through it, although as I haven't got a copy with me, it will be kind of basic instructions. What are you looking to change over?

I thought Avid software was only for MAC.

I want to convert a DVD of nothing but knockouts I have but it's in PAL and I want it in NTSC.

Nah, Avid works on PC as well, although I'm guessin if you've got Final Cut Pro you can do the same with that. If you've only got a DVD it should be simple. What you do is capture DVD through the program (so go to the tools tab & then capture) and then put the whole thing on a timeline & either output it to DVD through writing the program, or you can output it to an mpg2 file or quicktime file. When you do this you will find a tab (sorry can't remember where without having it in front of me) which will enable you to choose your output format, so just put in NTSC. There should be plenty of boards on the net that guide you through it.
