Default David Haye Cracks the Top 10

    The Ring Heavyweight Ratings

Well he is officially a top 10 heavyweight contender now, after Gomez was dropped from the ratings after being Crushed by Vitali

Dunno why Gomez got dropped, I thought he looked decent for a few rounds, got no idea why that waster Maskaev is still in there

I hope both Chris Arreola and David Haye move up the ranks. I can't stand any of the fighters they have up there especially those ugly arse giants at the top and that hairy one at 5. I think both Haye and Arreola are a little chinny though. I guess time will tell.

I'm not a fan of the guy, but why the hell not everyone damn else is getting undeserved shots...he irritates me a bit but that doesn't have anythng to do with what happens inside the ring ( i even give tarver credit when forced to) haye has his problems size, chin, conditioning, low hands whatever but i'm starting to realize watching haye loose if he does would be a whole lot more exciting than watching peter and some of these other guys lump around and play patty cake with the klitch'es. So shit why not ?

Why does Gomez drop out and get replaced by Haye just cos he loses to a guy well above him in the rankings? Isnt that whats supposed to happen? Its like relegating Spurs just cos they lose to Man Utd.

Well if Spurs lose to Man Utd they might well be leap frogged by Hull if they beat Fulham so I don't understand your point.

And besides when someone loses they SHOULD drop out of the top 10 for now to make way for someone else to have their chance.

I'm all for a healthy turnover and ever changing top 10. You rise up the ranks, you make the top 10, you lose, you drop back, someone else gets into the top 10, they fight, lose, drop down, if you you win in the meantime you might get back into the top 10 etc.

Guys like Peter, Ibragimov, Gomez etc have had their shot, blown it, so now need to prove themselves again and let others have a crack.

    That's healthy.

So Haye gets in the top 10 from fighting one heavyweight who isn't the top 10?

David Haye and everything about david haye is a complete joke

He bitches on TV about guys like arreola and chagaev when both have clearly shown time and time again they are willing to put their necks out on the line to be the best unlike the complete no show Haye.

Either your fighting Klitschko or you arent one thing is for certain.

Youve had 1 competitive fight in over 12 months of boxing which lasted all but 5 rounds against a lowly competitor and have completely backed up everything i ever said about you not having the stomach for the sport!!

You and Booth can shove all your smash talk and hype right where the sun dont shine as your a complete utter no show!

Well yes thats all very well if Hull actually beat Fulham of course. But "Hull", or David Haye (lol), didnt beat Fulham did they. Hull have just been sitting on their arses not playing!

He's the unified cruiserweight champ, a two time world champ both wins by stunning KO.

That's FAR more of an acomplishment than beating a few American domestic prospects.

People put way too much emphasis on isolating achievments to seperate weight classes, its all boxing, Haye is a unified, undisputed world champ and so absolutely deserves to be in the top 10.

And I can't stand the fucker yet I can accept that.

He has huge wins at Cruiserweight but so did Holyfield and he was in the Heavyweight division 3 years before fighting Buster Douglas according to boxrec. Haye is getting a shot in about 6 months?

And Holyfeild beat better fighters in CW divsion not mention he was not knocked out by a grandpa either he was undefeated champion. He also have wins over some good heavies as well he worked his way up and proved himslef Haye is not half the fighter Holyfeild was and thats a fact.

So what? Michael Spinks went straight from lightheavy to winning a world title at heavyweight in 1 fight, Roy Jones Jr went straight from light heavy to an immediate world title shot as well.

Haye already has three more wins at heavy than both Spinks and Jones did before they won their titles.

James Toney only had two fights at heavyweight before getting his world title shot.

Haye against Wlad is far and away the most attractive fight that can be made in the heavyweight division right now pitting the two undisputed champs against each other. Wlad and Vitali will never fight so a fight against either for Haye is the glamour fight in the division.

How can the casual public be hyped for a fight with Arreola? A man who looks like Butterbean who doesn't take the sport seriously enough to stop being obese, who hasn't beaten anyone world class let alone won a world title.

The reason MMA has done so well in recent years is because they don't pad their fighters records. There's no pointless matchmaking, no gimme fights, the best fight the best and they fight each other immediately giving the fans what they want, great fights.

The idea Haye should spend a couple of years padding his record against a few Eastern European jobbers and maybe a domestic rival or two before finally giving us a real fight just shows how suprisingly accepting boxing fans have become of their sports longterm apalling matchmaking where the best fighters usually avoid each other for half a decade racking up some easy wins before finally fighting each other only when somebody more exciting than both of them has burst on the scene.

Personally I want to see champions fighting champions.
