I just don't think Mayweather will let Marquez dictate the pace if he can, that being said Marquez threw a ton of punches against Juan Diaz, and I am not sure if Mayweather is willing to take a shot to land a shot in order to impose his will on Marquez.

As for Marquez being a small Mayweather? How exactly? Besides being technically sound all round fighters they are totally different. Marquez is an offense first fighter who can throw a lot of punches and doesn't like being bullied around, he is your quintessential mexican tactical fihgter. Mayweather on the other hand is your quintessential african american flashy fighter, he utilizes speed, footwork, and defensive skills to not get hit, and he leaps in with punches, pot shots, keeps distance with the jab.
Now look at Marquez against Chris John and reapply your logic of Marquez vs Mayweather! Then what do you see?
