Duran did not have a powerful jab, really. Duran changed a lot throughout his career, but his jab was always a measuring stick for landing the right hand.

Can't believe nobody mentioned Lennox Lewis. His fights are so boring, but had a sick jab. countered with it, led with it, lived by it.

Let's not overlook the Klitschkos either.

I didnt say he had a powerful jab but then what does that matter....if you have a powerful jab then yeah it helps because you dont want people just walking through it but as long as its quick and snappy which durans was then thats fine. And it as never a measuring stick for his right hand.......that would be saying he was a one dimentional fighter which he never was!
And your deffinatly right with lewis...great jab but to say his fights were boring? He was a supreme tactician!

Best jabs I would have to say Lewis, Cotto (especially in the Molsey fight) and cant believe noones mentioned Winky Wright he has a ram rod of a jab.

Watch Pepino Cuevas, Davey Moore, Hagler, hell even SR Leonard, Duran was not trying to keep anyone away with his jab. Duran had punches from many angles with both hands. I would never suggest my favorite fighter ever is 1-diminsional. He just never had a head snapping jab.
