That would make Ali and Tyson the top two of all time.
There is a bridge in Alaska for sale!!!

Any top champion had the stuff to defeat Ali or Tyson.

As Marciano was undefeared, difficult to say Tyson would win.
Not sure if Tyson could take the punches, but Marciano proved
he could take the heavy shots.

i never said he was one of the best i just said he could beat them. each of them are great for different reasons but if you put marciano, frazier, or even a young forman i think mike would take em

These dream matches are always unfair on Mike, each champ of each generation had something special to put them above everyone else.

Mike may well have come bottom out of a round robin tournament and he may well have beaten everyone.

I know it sounds daft when we as his fans say his prime was with Kevin Rooney because he ws still in his physical prime whien he came out of prison but even the newest of boxing fans would notice a difference in the way Mike fought after Rooney, he wasnt hard to hit, he didnt jab or put together dazzling combinations and for him to have had success as a 5,10" fighter throwing one shot at a time is still pretty good.

Hypotheticly if Cus had never died (Cus had Mikes respect and love, Rooney did but not to that extent) Mike would have stayed on the straight and narrow and as I mentioned about all Mikes physical gifts and promise, if he had taken his career serious and carried on as he was, he wouldnt have been unbeatable but we wouldnt have to hear how he was just a bully who didnt like adversity.

The adversity came when he didnt give a shit, he fought good fighters that couldnt put a dent in him because he was that good, not because they were bad, id take the eighties champs over todays, they were far more skilled, Tony Tubbs was still having success up to a couple of years ago, Holmes also, Whitherspoon would catch Klitschko with that overhand right for sure and if Jones and Toney could have success at heavy Spinks would have also.

Id give Bruno a shot at a title as well

Cute but wrong Tyson knew his abilties better than you do and he stated he knew he could never beat Lennox Lewis, Tyson avoided fighting a 40 year old Foreman, Buster Douglas a nobody did knock him out Holyfield knocked him out, Lewis knocked him out. Any hald way decent true heavyweight over 205 pounds and wasnt afraid of Mike Tysons hype would probably beat him. Once Tyson hit you and you didnt go down or run you took his heart.

Foreman, Bowe, Frazier, Ron Lyle, ect ect ect would of all knocked him out quick, Fighters like a prime Ali, Holmes ect ect ect would of iced him late but I will say this. No fighter pre Ali would of beat Tyson. No 180 pound fighters like Dempsey or Marciano would of made it past 1 round. No glass chin fighter like Joe Louis who was almost knocked out by a super middleweight with no punching power like Billy Conn would beat Tyson.

Tyson was ok but he was never this beast like some of you pretend he was.

Mike Tyson couldn't hang with a lot of the legends, no disrespect to Mike of course.

Ali: Ali by late TKO, Tyson didn't have the heart to hang with him
Louis: Joe totally whips Tyson's ass...no damn contest
Marciano: Rocky beats Tyson up...Rocky never quit, never took a round off. He'd wear Miek down.
Foreman: Mike may wet himself before and after this one
Holmes: well Tyson COULD take a prime Holmes as Larry did allow himself to get caught
Frazier: Interesting match up...I think Tyson might have taken that one
Dempsey: Tough to call, I'll say Tyson early
    Norton: Tyson KO 1
    Shavers: Tyson KO 1

Tyson was great but I think he'd have trouble hanging with the big dogs

I agree with your list except Rocky and Joe Louis, he would KO them.

Rocky's workrate, heart, and power make him a tough fight for Tyson IMO but his size does leave something to be desired.

Joe Louis would whip Mike Tyson's ass there is NO DOUBT about that

Joe Louis is the 2nd greatest ever heavyweight of all time. Just think he would be vulnerable early to the Tyson onslaught and not survive. If he did then agreed he would take it late.

I'd take Mike against Dempsey/Marciano/Patterson/Liston/Norton but I feel pretty certain that Foreman/Ali/Louis/Holy/Frazier/Lewis/Holmes would all win in the mythical prime v prime fights

Tyson could knock ANYONE out in the 1st or 2nd round, even the best of the best. He had much more than a puncher's chance as they say.

But do I think he WOULD have actually DONE it?

No. Holmes never got KO'd in 1 or 2 rounds, and got up after an Earnie Shavers Nuclear Bomb of an Overhand Right, and actually won the round! NO way is a prime Holmes gonna get caught so stupidly. Even at 38+, Holmes got up after 2 knockdowns against a young Tyson, and that wasn't until late in the 4th or 5th round I believe. Prime Holmes would take Tyson out into the 7th or 8th and whip his ass right there, kinda like Holyfield did in the 1st fight with Tyson, only faster.

Marciano? Sorry, no way. A few Blockbustin' liver shots and Tyson is gone, goodbye. Does anybody really think Buster Duoglas hit harder than Rocco? Not in your wildest....! Imagine the additional torque a Marciano shot would have when it met the inrushing Tyson.

Ali?? Uhhh, sorry, not a snowball's chance..... Ali would skin 'im, wrap 'im, and freeze 'im in about 9 rounds, like he did to Foreman.

Joe Louis? Well he could be caught like Schmeling caught him late in their 1st fight. Chances are however Joe would catch Tyson with a crushing counter hook as Tyson missed a wild shot. You couldnt make mistakes against Louis.

    Frazier? That's a toss-up.

Otherwise, Tyson does NOT belong in the Top 10. Top 15 YES.

Tyson would have to worry about Joe's early attack...Joe had pretty good punching power and a rock solid chin.

Louis was down early on a number of occasions by lesser punchers than Tyson. Styles and fights.

Was he ever really hurt? Rocky was down a number of times too but rarely if ever hurt.

Louis and Rocky had styles that led to them being more off balance than anything else.

Louis had good balance and neither great boxer would go down unless they were forced down and with the power of Tyson, if he had them hurt early he would finish them.

If Tyson got hit by those guys he'd probably go down too....he did get hurt by Frank Bruno and he was made to quit by both McBride and Williams who were at BEST journeymen and yes that was late in his career but look at Joe Louis he never QUIT in any match and neither did Rocky. They had too much heart for Tyson and IMO Joe Louis was just too damned good for him
