When Holmes looked over at the ref with an expression of,"Why in the hell arent you stopping this?"It was almost too much to see.
Here is arguably the greatest heavyweight, nay fighter,of all time just getting peppered at will, even Holmes has said he wanted the fight over but Ali wouldnt go the hell down. And the ref wouldnt stop it.
It made me want to cry

I felt sorry for Richard "Destroyer" Hall against Roy Jones Jr.

That was one of the worst beatings I've ever seen a guy take.

Hall was an absolute warrior to take that.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"

    Corrales vs Mayweather

    DLH vs Pacquiao

    Ali vs Holmes

    Frazier vs Foreman

not as much but still Jones vs Calzaghe (to see Jones lose so badly when he would have dominated in his prime)

Mcall wgetting beaten up by Lewis. He wanted out the fight . He didnt wana be in there anymore and was even crying but was too stupid to take a count or sit it out . He just took a sustained beating around the head . Felt sad for him
I was about to say the same thing. It's not like Lewis was totally beating McCall with great technique. It was more about McCall not wanting to do anything. And then see him cry? I wonder what he was going through.

Now he knows how Chavez felt all those years back
Pac will get beaten like that too when he faces someone younger than himself
Exactly Game. I've been saying it all the time. Fighters getting credit for beating a big name who happens to be way older, passed his prime, drained, etc.

I felt bad for Cotto. He's a guy who's not known for being a trash talker. Takes care of business and so on. He was just starting to face quality opossition when he lost the way he did .

Maybe because its recent, the Oscar-Pac fight was truly horrible to watch if you weren't biased either way, the hype didn't help. Jones-Calzaghe had elements to it because of knowing what Jones once was. I've made a conscious effort to avoid ever watching Ali-Holmes

Jones Jr. and Lacy getting slapped back and forth up the ring by Calzaghe.

Julio looking for a way out against Kirkland.

Tyson getting reality knocked out of him by Lewis.

Gatti getting battered pillar to post by Mayweather.

Gomez finally be brutalized to have nothing left on a jab after taking brutal punishment.
For every story told that divides us, I believe there are a thousand untold that unite us.

Felix Trinidad vs Winky Wright- Pretty bad when Titos corner has no advice for the ass whooping.

Roy Jones vs Montell Griffin II- No one expected that especially Montell.

Sam Peter vs Vitali Klitschko- Peter outclassed and battered

Diego Corrales vs Floyd Mayweather- Floyd shined that night against the warrior.

Thank you to all the posters here, you have pointed out some really great examples of this sad feeling I mentioned I got.

Yes, Gatti/Mayweather, I felt so sorry for Gatti when he was crying on his stool after he quit, and yes Old Chavez and old Ali, and also felt bad for Oscar the way he really got totally outclassed by Pac.

I will think of more soon I guess.

Yes, Ayala's comeback fight, the way he cried when he coulnt continue, the man wasnt used to losing, never even experienced it until then, it was sad.

I didnt feel too bad for Tito vs Winky, because Tito had hurt so many fighters himself.

Oh, I really felt bad for Hplmes the way Tyson KO'd him in '88. That one kinda bothered me too, the way the Foreman/Frazier I fight bothered me.

Felt a bit bad for Kostya too the way Ricky demolished him. But not too bad!
