I think a big one is that King stomped one of his workers to death because the guy owed him $600. Anybody who could beat someone to death just for owing money is a pretty amoral piece of shit.

He also stroked both Joe Frazier and George Foreman prior to their first bout and he actually STEPPED OVER Frazier's horizontal body on the canvas to get to Foreman. He bragged about how he arrived with the champion (Frazier) and left with the champion (Foreman), and there was nothing facetious about it. King was as scummy as it got back in the 70s, 80s, and 90s.

PPV percentages going to organized crime figures, he actually had to take the 5th Amendment when he was questioned under oath about his relationship to John Gotti...I would think a better question is "Why is he allowed to promote boxing cards"? The man is backed by and has ties with organized crime.
