Not necessarily biting peoples ears but you gotta miss the action of boxing when Tyson was around, he was a love or hate

Carlos Monzon--party animal and darling of the Jet Set, but killer in the ring (and outside as well).

Jake LaMotta. Brute both inside and outside the ring. But still alive and chipper!!!

never really thought about Tyson - I was kind of thinking of their characters outside the ring.
Mike's menace etc.. and persona was mostly confined to inside the ropes for me - am talking about the 80s Tyson.
In his latter years his character in and out of the ring was pretty embarassing if you ask me.
So thats probably why I never thought about him![]()

I totally have to agree, his ring presence, the way he strutted around and stared down the crowd but above all the way he spoke, what diction for a boxer!....and dresses like a victorian gentleman ready for fisticuffs, only one Eubank
When in this day and age would you have an event like the below on tv, absolute classic!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CO-js...eature=related Watch from about 3mins onward for Benn/Eubank interview.
Joichiro 'Joe' Tatsuyoshi ....part Gatti....part Paez

Eubank was the pinnacle of sporting arrogance throughout britain in the 1990s and hence gained one hell of a backlash for it..
Quite beautiful though towards the end how the same arrogant eubank went from being universally hated to becoming a fan favourite solely because the casual fan realised that love him or hate him he was a great fighter who had given them hours of pleasure.
Remember my dad hoisting me over his shoulders in the local pub so i could roar "EUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUBANK" with all the other locals urging him on to victory over steve collins!!
one dangerous horrible bloke
