Manny really speak that way though, and he's not ashame of it. I bet he can speak english fluently than Margarito.
hahahaha what the hell does Margarito have to do with this thread?
if you think i'm mexican i'm not lol i'm Puerto Rican, and right now Puerto Rico's biggest name, Miguel Cotto, speaks english better and a lot clearer than Pacquiao, true Trinidad only bothered to learn the words that mattered lol but hell he got away with it, also if you're gonna try and throw it towards my fav fighter, it's known that Morales understands ands speaks english fluently but prefers to speak spanish, both he and Barrera (who also speaks english) did the promotion for their 2nd fight (if i remember correctly) in english
What the hell? Do I think you're a Mexican? I don't really care buddy. Why are you being defensive and making this into a race thing. I was just comparing Pac and Margo's english bro.

Btw, Pac's english is as good as Cotto's,... and difinitely way better than JMM, MAB, Trinidad, and Morales. FACT

Not a lot of people know this but, Philippines is the 2nd (or 3rd) largest (population) english speaking country in the world. More people speak english there than U.K., Australia, or Canada. Yeah, no joke. You can wikki it and tell me if I'm bullsh1ting you.

LMAO on this thread.. I've been active lately and I have bump into Pac fans and now I'm startin to think they're Pac's lawyers. Fanboys relax. Pac's english is fine.Filipinos really speak english well but I think they use to interchange F and P, C and K. I had a couple of Filipino friends back in Hawaii and I'd say they're still better than most Asians I heard.you know..the Japanese are 100x worse. I once heard a Jap guy in youtube singing to Oasis' 'Don't Look Back In Anger' and he was like "Srip inside the eye of your mind......sooooo Sarry can't wait!!" I was like WTF! He was really doing great but I got annoyed by his pronounciations and I can't stand it.

Pacs english is fine imo,Americans dont really care if you speak bad english cause in a way everybody do as long as you get your point across. Some filipino will mock other filipinos cause they sound funny but i think they should just accept it cause it is what it is.

I know some jokes about filipino sentences. West coast dudes probubly heard of these too.

Pac doesn't say very much. I was watching some video of Pac and Hatton speaking yesterday. Hatton spoke for a good five minutes and I was genuinely interested to hear what he was going to say next. Manny spoke for a minute and the only thing that grabbed me was him saying something about being from Scotland. Aside from that Pac just couldn't hold my attention whatsoever.

We won't get any fireworks in the build up, but the fight might turn out alright.

Hey if Pac claims to be Scottish can we claim him even if he loses, we don't have anyone that's that good at anything right now

Try listening to some Scottish boxers mate, we have a whole language all to ourselves that's still meant to be English.............to all the serious folks here, build a bridge and get over it or a tunnel and work though it.

Oddly enough,Ive been dealing with alot of Peurto Rican and Mexican fighters lately,Id rather talk to their managers, then call Ireland. I may occasionally have to ask them to repeat things, but its generally not a problem.
Ireland,I cant understand a word thats coming out of their mouth.
You want to see me wince hard, tell me I have to call Ireland about a fight.
Im not saying it to be offensive, but sweet jesus, generally when I have to call over there,I sound like Dan Rather, and they sound like Brad Pitt's character from Snatch. I almost wish I could record those calls, just so I could have someone else listen to them, and ask,"Did you understand a word of that?"

Don't get so defensive. The thread was a joke, a piss take, something for people to have a little laugh about.

English is a lingua franca in the Philippines, but I would hazard a guess that the numbers of people fluent in the language are rather more limited. Manny's level of English is quite common for people in the Philippines, and that's no knock on him because people there often speak multiple languages as you point out. If you say the word bilingual to a person in the UK they would think you were questioning their sexuality.
