He was not great but Lionel Butler never had 1 amateur fight. He was at least somewhat of a heavyweight contender. And I don't think Tommy Morrison had an amateur career but I know he was in Toughman if that counts for anything.

i know their not italian but
Julio Cesar Chavez Snr
Dwight Muhammad Qawi
No. another Italian by the name of Joey Giardello. There is no record of his having fought amature.
He was inducted into the IBHF in 1993 and was also inducted into theWBHF. His career record was 101 wins, 25 losses and 7 draws, but even more impressively, he was 5-3-1 against other boxers in the Hall of Fame, including a 2-2 mark against Dick Tiger.

Giardello was born in Brooklyn but grew up in Philly.

The ones from down south are astounding.Multi time Champion Manuel Medina had like 3 Ama's then turned pro at 14...jeez!!Seems a guys finacial circumstances plays a major part...rather be payed while at it.What about Bones Adams ,went to boxing college 101 and back fighting Canizales as a kid of 17.crazy
Actually, when I said South, I meant Philly and Giardello. But if you go down under, well then......

The Mexican one is a tad tough so I am going to disclose it. Luis Villanueva Paramo aka Kid Azteca. He boxed professionally from 1932 to 1961 and had around 200 bouts. Historians say he started boxing pro at age 13.
He was from Tepito-Mexico City
