Keep in mind McCline was retired and came in on 6 weeks notice. He is not a top ten Heavyweight.

I think it was a good win for Arreola but I am still not convinced he will be a champ. I think either Klitchsko will KO Areolla with relative ease.

I think if he actaully trained harder and came in better shape he could be great but he doesnt appear to have the discipline to be a champ.....

    Just my opinion....

    I don't know...
Heavyweights have more leeway to move up and down in weight to suit the particular need. Arreola's coming in at 250+ didn't exactly hurt him against McCline, who came in at 270+ himself. Against a better, lighter, faster opponent, yes...... Arreola had better come in around 230-ish.

Man I thought it was funny they showed the Joe Frazier and Ali fight documentary before these fat fuckks fought. That is what heavys are supposed to look like. These guys make a mockery of pugilism.

First thing Chris has to do is change his last name. It just ain't right to be named after part of a woman's tit.

Or it could be referring to his tit.

Nah, it's very fitting... If you look at his chest it makes perfect sense that his name is related to tits.

The nickname needs to be changed..."Nightmare" doesn't capture his being. "The Blob", "Jelly Roll", "Spare Tire", "El Gordo", or something like that would really help market him

I agree to an extent. But, how much more fun was that to watch than a Klitschko fight?

And who else beats him other than the Klitschko's?

Did this victory not make you think that given the current crop of heavyweights, he may fare pretty well.

Actually was the calmest Ive seen him go in a while.Could be good and bad.Hes trying to hone up his style, sit on the outside but maybe he should shed the xxl padding and stick with what brought him to the show.Good finish though, nice combination.

I dont really enjoy watching a fat heavyweight in the ring, seeing the fat around their wastes and man boobies jiggle with each punch thrown or received......

Was there every a heavyweight as fat and out of shape as Arreola that became undisputed champ

One came close. Two Ton Tony Galento who knocked down Joe Louis. Well it wasn't really close but damn that would have been funny.

I give Cris credit for doing what he was supposed to do despite how fat he is...the guy USED to be a light heavyweight as an amateur and now he's a pig of a heavyweight. Sure he KO'd McCline, but what if Jameel hadn't been on the fence about retiring, what if he came to fight and took Cris the distance and even worse what if Jameel had pressured Cris Cris is going to lose and soon, and it won't be because of skill as much as lack of training and taking fights seriously.....can you see him beating Wladimir when he comes in at 255?!?!?! I sure as hell don't! Wlad is in shape AND he's athletic enough to box circles around Arreola, who wouldn't last 5 rounds with Wlad unless he gets himself in better shape.

Eddie Chambers is fat because he has to be fat to be a heavyweight, he could easily fight at cruiserweight...but where is the money in that? I agree Eddie needs to work on his stamina, but bringing up more out of shape heavyweights only proves the points everyone is trying to make about why the division is so weak.

I agree with booze, no heavyweight PERIOD should look like Arreola or McCline did last night. They are supposed to be PRO athletes and they need to conduct themselves as such. You can run down the list of heavyweight champions and they have all been in great shape...even Old George Foreman, he was in better shape at age 45 than either of those guys in the ring last night and Evander Holyfield at age 45 is in better shape than those guys right now.

I want to say that fighters should get fined for coming into fights out of shape, but defining what "in shape" and "out of shape" is would be difficult....all I know is Cris is going to come across a fighter who will take the fight seriously and he's going to lose
