Taylor UD, but I'll be cheering for Froch on the night.

Unless it's obvious he's out of his depth after a couple of rounds, in which case I'll be laughing at him.

Cobra shall go forth and vanquish all before him .
Taylor is a a chapter in the tale of the greatest british fighter ever to leave these shores and fly the flag of the mighty St George .

Froch vs Taylor - I find it hard to visualise how this one will pan out. Taylor is certainly going to use that excellent jab and Froch has to either compete with it or make it ineffective - has Carl the work rate to do that? Will Froch just try to turn the fight into a War? Taylor isn't much of a puncher, so I can't see him hurting Froch but I can see him outboxing Carl - if Carl doesn't impose himself.

I'll be cheering on Carl and I think he can win and it would be a superb achievement.

If this is a good fight which i think it will be,was wondering what are the chances of itv getting the fight 1/2 days later they have done it before.

I think its going to be a great fight. I expect Taylor to win the early rounds maybe catching Froch with some real eye catching shots in the process.

Froch is tough though and if he can get to Taylor in the middle rounds I believe he can break his heart and force to him to quit, not by literally throwing in the towel but rather through forcing him into his shell and effectively have him covering up looking to survive down the stretch.

It really could go either way though. Taylor has struggled to beat virtually everyone I've ever seen him in with post Hopkins, he always makes a meal of it. Lacy was probably his easiest win.

But Froch often tends to be the same. Against domestic level opposition like Brian Magee he was being outboxed at times, a shot Robin Reid caught him flush several times and I can remember him looking absolutely awful in times past against for example Matthew Barney and Dale Westerman.

Both fighters will need to be on their top form to win.

I hope Froch does it, he's an exciting fighter watch and Taylor has had his chances.

I don't feel that Taylor has the heart of a true champion. He basically settled for a points loss to Kelly Pavlik in their rematch, he plodded around cluelessly against Cory Spinks, he couldn't even step it up to get the much smaller Kasim Ouma out of there.

I think, and hope that Carl blows him away and ends the Taylor era. Pavlik and Williams can fly the flag for the Americans at middleweight and Taylor can look to sideshow fights with Roy Jones Jr, Edison Miranda and maybe being a gatekeeper for Andre's Ward and Dirrell.

It'll be Froch by brutal knockout around the 10th or it will be a felix sturm-type robbery.

The safe money bet is Taylor UD due to his better boxing skills, jab and Carl's leaky defense. But the more I think about this fight the more I favour Froch to pull off an upset. Froch is determined, confident and Taylor has never faced anyone as big as Froch, who is a massive super middleweight. Froch has underrated power as well. I'm gonna go with Froch.

I don't like either of these guys

Froch has beaten nobody, yet proclaims himself the best SMW in the world, and acts like the greatest fighter in the history of the UK. His criticisms of Joe were true in some way but seemed to become more borne out of envy than anything else. When he hyped himself as a better fighter than Dawson I had to laugh.

Taylor has IMO lost every fight he's had against top opposition, even if he does run them close. I thought he lost both fights to both Hopkins & Pavlik, was beaten by Winky Wright, and I thought he left it very close against Spinks and it could've gone the other way. The only fighters I give him credit for are Raul Marquez & William Joppy (both faded versions of their former selves), Kassim Ouma (again not what he once was, in addition he is a light-middleweight) and Jeff Lacy (do I really need to say anything?).

I think Taylor may take it on the cards in a close fight, so I will go with that, although wouldn't be surprised if he chokes & Froch takes him out.

a bit harsh on jermain, i think.. Before he got the belt's he was exciting to watch.. After he got the belts, he got a bit boring, but that really had to do with the opposition he was fighting.. Then he had the wake up call w/ Pavlik KO'ing him.. but in Taylor/Pavlik 2, i thought he fought a great fight.. He handled Lacy fine, i thought.. I like Jermain and i think he wins this fight by UD.. he'll have to fight the way he did against Pavlik the second time he fought him though!!

I think Ive seen Froch all of three times.Dont know if thats by design or not.Last one was some late sub that went about 4 rounds and Froch had his way.Pretty cocky fella full of himself it seems.Do remember his hands being quite low and him trying to do some cutesy moves.Nice handspeed though, and seems willing to back up his words.?I dont think Taylor is done by any means and this should be a nice little collision of one trying to break into the huge mainstream and one trying to maintain and re-boot high standing career.Straight punching could rule the day and Jab and the comparisons in calibur of opposition is pretty striking.Had some close calls but remains capable. It would be a huge mistake for Froch to assume things here.He needs to be smart or be beat.

I think Taylor is more determined than ever and has the advantage in power, speed, experience and skill. Taylor is an inch taller than Froch and has a two inch reach advantage so I dont see Froch as they bigger man.

Taylor will win by wide unanimous decision or late TKO.

I cant wait though, some great fights this weekend!

Why do you think Taylor has the advantage in power??

He hasnt knocked anyone out in 4 years including much smaller men, Froch is naturally the bigger puncher and if anyone gets stopped its Taylor.
