I agree but maybe he meant the fight that he enjoyed the most.
The Calzaghe Lacy fight was possibly the most one sided unification fight ever but it was far and away my fight of 2006
It really depends also if you like the fighters involved. I mean the fight I watched the most last year (three times) was bizarrely Roy Jones against Anthony Hanshaw, I just really enjoyed that fight, close, keenly fought and flashes of Jones Jr brilliance.

Fair enough, but as I understand it Fight of the Year is supposed to be an unbiased appraisal of the most exciting fight of the year. I'm not going to argue with someone about which fight they personally liked the best, but the FOTY, in my opinion, should be one in which there was great action from both fighters - thus ruling out Mosley-Margarito in my eyes.

I know where he is coming from saying Mosley-Marg was FOTY. I was on the edge of my seat. I couldn't believe what was happening. Mosley's display of skill was spellbinding. But, unfortunately this doesn't make for a FOTY. Someone who knows nothing about either of these fighters would view this as a mismatch if they didn't know the odds.
So Mosley gets

I can't believe this is up in the air! Marquez vs Diaz is HANDS DOWN fight of the year. The importance, significance, the match-up, the titles, and the fight was ALL ACTION!
Berto vs Collazo was a good one too!

Solis-Viloria was pretty decent imo. It should one of the top 10 right at the moment.
