How could Mosley - Margarito be fight of the year? It was perhaps the one-siding ass kicking of the year, but in my mind FOTY's should be very closely contested, back and forth fights.

I agree but maybe he meant the fight that he enjoyed the most.

The Calzaghe Lacy fight was possibly the most one sided unification fight ever but it was far and away my fight of 2006

It really depends also if you like the fighters involved. I mean the fight I watched the most last year (three times) was bizarrely Roy Jones against Anthony Hanshaw, I just really enjoyed that fight, close, keenly fought and flashes of Jones Jr brilliance.
