I didnt know this happened, dear o dear Derry what are you going to do now son ? What a shame, I thought he had great potential maybe that Choi Ko really has got to him, i thought he was unlucky against Lindsey but maybe thats it for Derry now...

wow, their kept that quite did'nt their mate.Derry Mathews looked really drained when he fought Choi and he did again afterwards too.Mind you in his latest fight he did'nt seemed to be too shaken up really and the ref seemed to stop it far too quickly for me,shame really. He should move up a weight to see if that helps him!

I think that fight was a move up in weigh though, Harry did outweight Derry 6 and half pounds though

I remember querying this a few weeks ago, as I saw the result, but missed the fight coverage itself.

Matthews is swiftly becoming a journeyman, ever since he got exposed badly by Choi Tseveenpureev he's been on a downward spiral, and he needs to get control quickly otherwise he'll just be a stepping stone.

If you watch it real close he got up after 6 and the ref waved it off. WTF ??

He'll be back. He outboxed Lindsay for 9 rounds and floored him Rhun so i dont get at your comment. Lindsay landed a lottery punch, even he would admit that.

Unfortunately, outboxing someone doesn't necessarily lead to the win. Tseveenpureev exposed his chin badly, and he's been stopped twice more. I admit this one looks odd, but we don't have the context nor the detail on that film to see how out of it he was. Although he got up at 6, the ref put his arms round him like they do if they're being stopped when they're out of it. With a chin that susceptible, I just don't think he's got many more chances.

Derry won the first few rounds with ease it should be noted. It looks like he slipped on that video. Did a punch even landed flush ?
