As for the quoted comment of "Juanma won't last" that's BS. Juanma got caught with some shots, but that's what happens when you fight a guy the caliber of Penalosa. Also, Juanma showed great stamina. I mean, he barely slowed down at all and what's more impressive is that he kept a high work rate while throwing power punches. That was impressive. Juanma stood in there well against Penalosa and against others with less defense and slower hands (aka Vazquez), the beating will be more severe.
That isn't at all , i completely agree Rican , to me i have to say that was great in all aspects , we saw an a Penalosa taking a punches that he never took before ," I have to take my hat off " , but we saw an a Juanma fighting with a caliber of boxer that is Penalosa , throwing an a immense amounts of punches that put him really bad condition , for who never seen Juanma fighting until the limit , in this division i don't think who can assimilate Juanma punches as Penalosa did , Juanma is a BEAST..................

Ahhhhh but where is my friend Kila...............?
Juanma had a great fight against Penalosa, but don't get too carried away and think he'd just walk through the BEST NATURAL SUPER BANTAM'S out there, i think Lopez can go with the best of them after last night, but he's not going to blow them away, honestly i'd say his chances against the other top 3 are something like, Vazquez & R.Marquez 55/45 in favor of the Mexican duo, that is assuming they didn't ruin each other and can come back strong after their grueling trilogy, and agaisnt Caballero i'd say it's 60/40 in favor of Juanma. another great fight for Lopez would be Jhonny Gonzalez, i have been saying it since the De Leon fight, and it's a fight that NEEDS to be made, Gonzalez has been a beast at Super Bantam and IMO a fight against Juanma would be a war
I'm pretty sure that Vazquez and Marquez are little worn out from those wars, that obviously has to take a lot out of the tank for them. So Juanma as being fresher, relentless and strong. He'll looked way bigger than Penalosa, and IMO it will look almost the same against Vazquez or Marquez.

IMO toughest test would be Pelenchin Caballero, that mantis-like speedy puncher style will be a fit for anyone, but Juanma can take care of him.

Gonzalez? Seriously? I don't think he has the chin or body to take that kind of punishment for 5 round like Gerry did.
But obviously the fight that I see on the horizon that will give him the most trouble, if he stays undefeated by that time, is Gamboa at 126, if Gamboa doesn't move up sooner. But other than that Juanma should have no problem at 122.

yes Gonzalez, have you seen him at Super Bantam? he's been on a hell of a roll, and he was putting on a hell of a beating on Vazquez, pre-Marquez trilogy, Gonzalez has a decent chin and he bangs a hell of a lot harder than Penalosa does
