Taylor should probably just give it up, he doesn't like his job, he's got so much nervous energy which is the reason for his appalling stamina and the stoppage was totally right, I got the impression it might have been somewhat questionable, hell no.

Watching this though makes you realize how good Calzaghe was at 168. He would have 12-0'ed both of these guys. But credit to Froch, he did what he had to do.
Just becuase Taylor wilts in the championship rounds doesnt mean that Calzaghe would easily win the first 10.

Taylor is a sensational boxer and without those stamina issues, caused largely as you say by the nervous energy he brings to the ring he'd be unbeaten right now.

He'd give Calzaghe a very tough fight, he's never been 12-0'd by anybody.

He might win a round or two. Calzaghe would be all wrong for him, he wouldn't be able to keep up. Hopkins even though he's a level above Taylor was a better matchup.

Nah he wouldn't win two rounds.

And he didn't lose so much to Pavlik the first time because of stamina. Outside of the second round Pavlik was winning the fight and I wouldn't say he was dead gassed in that seventh round. His stamina obviously didn't help him but it wasn't like the 12th last night, that reminded me a lot of Bute-Andrade.

I think Taylor has lost his desire for the sport, he even said in the interview that he had the money after the b hop wins and lost his focus. Maybe that was his prime, and he can never repeat that again. I think hes a superb fighter, but as I have said ever since the start he would have lost to Froch. Sustained pressure is something he couldnt take as proved in the Pavlik fight and Froch is similar in that respect. It's a great shame for him, but as I said before when the mid rounds had gone he was in the deep water and he couldnt keep Carl away from him. Great, great fight though!

I still think he'll come back, that was honestly the most aggressive and bad intentioned I'd ever seen Jermain. Its sad really that the only two times he has looked truly outstanding to me he got knocked out both times.

Carl should thank God that Taylor is only a 10 round fighter and not 12. Taylor's weakness saved Carl from being a laughingstock. And all of you mthuafukkas know it. Carl gets the win on his record. Taylor should get an assist. He gave the fight away. Whoever had this fight even going into the last round can't score for shiit or is just a massive groupie.

This fight pretty much convinced me I was right about Carl. He's not close to being an elite fighter. And he sure as hell isn't the wrecking machine some of you guys were making him out to be. Where was the muderous power? The granite chin? I knew his defense was going to be poor coming in. But even I was shocked at how bad it really was. He's a sucker for a right hand. Taylor couldn't miss. Another thing I didn't see was the great offensive arsenal he was said to have. There was no arsenal. He was so predictable. Taylor blocked most of his punches till he started to tire. Carl is an average fighter. With average skills. But he does have heart. He ain't no punk. I will give him that. I didn't think he was going to get up in the 3rd. Not cuz I thought he was that hurt. But cuz he was being outclassed so badly I thought he would just say "fukk it" and quit. But he didn't. He got up and continue to press forward. He deserves credit for that. I have no doubt he has bigger balls (I'm sure Tam Seddon can confirm) than Calzaghe and Kessler have. With that being said i think both beat him. As would Bute and Andrade.

To be honest with you VD the fight shaped the way exactly as I thought. I think your being over critical to the winner IMO, he showed that he was a champion last night by coming back from behind. I think your overratting how well Taylor did in there, Yes carl does have a leaky defence and can get tagged but its his stlye as Taylor would tell you which is difficult to hold off for 12 rounds. I do admit that the stamina issues were cleary in favour of Froch and that would be a reason for him winning the fight, however, YOU have to admit carls pressure over a sustained period of time would always cause Taylor problems and hes always struggled with fighters like that.

Which ever way you look at it, Carl is the winner of the fight, he finished stronger he got the KO no bullshit about it. Hes the winner, Taylor is the loser and we move on and see what happens next. Great win for Froch, no excuses he travelled to the other side of the pond and did the business, JC would NEVER have done that, nor would many other fighters. He got the win and thats the bottom line.
