From what I've seen of him he seems like a decent fighter, not sure how far he'll go though.
Big guy but he looks fairly soft in the body, could really do with some better conditioning.
I think anyone that fights at heavyweight and actually TRAINS these days has a good shot, but from what I have seen of him here are the pros and cons.
PROS:
Good size
Nice Handspeed
Atheletic and has good coordination for his size.
CONS:
Hasn't had his chin truly tested yet and as always that's not a great thing
His defense is lackluster against guys he outclasses
Stamina is ALWAYS a question with heavyweights him included.
He could be pretty good or he could be Audley Harrison, I think it's going to be somewhere inbetween.
Yeah I Agree He Does Look A Bit Soft In The Body Id Like To See Him Get With A Top Noch Trainer And Get In The Best Shape And I Think He Might Be Realy Good.but As You Said Dont Know About His Chin Yet .if He Can Take A Punch Or Not Is The Main Thing We Need To See First.
Tyson Furry <---- spelling mistake
needs some strength and conditioning work FOR SURE
He's well hyped but it's going to take him a while to fight anyone of note and answer any true questions about his skill.
That would be my main point about this guy, seriosuly needs some better conditioning. Boxers always bother me when they don't look like athletes. his guy totally doesn't.
Seen him a fight a few times, few decent combinations but unfortunately the most I remember is him fighting a huge fat hairy guy from france or somewhere. He was even hairier than valuev. Weird.
That would be Daniel Peret lol a Norway based Russian.
My boy Larry Olubamiwo has him on the Hatton vs Pacquaio undercard (UK show)![]()
He is stepping up his class of opponent quite well for a 4 fight novice of only 20 years old i think he will bash up the british heavyweights and european but world i will have to see at least 10 more fights to judge.
A fraud.
Fury is a hype job, simple as. He bragged he beat a 20-2 fighter or whatever his record is in his 3rd fight, yet when you look at that fighter real close and he's fought nothing but bums. Just like Fury has. David Price destroyed and floored him when they met in the amateurs. Then Fury has the cheek to offer Price a fight on 11 days notice (When he never had Swaby lined up) and then when Price rightfully rejects, starts calling him a fraud and how he ducked him LOL. He's shown me nothing good whatsoever. His defense is garbage and his chin aint been tested yet. He's a disaster waiting to happen, and it will happen soon enough.
I think it's possible that losing sooner rather than later might humble him and force him to train harder. But whilst he's facing journeymen that's not gonna happen.
Hard to say whether he'd beat Price or not. I've only seen Price fight once and he looked kinda dodgy, but it could just be jitters as he's only just starting out.
My gut feeling says Tyson would get further than Price, maybe not just on ability but on the hype he's gathered. A fighter who promotes himself well and gets himself talked about goes further than a quiet fighter, and like Fury or not, he's good at getting attention.
