Showtime would do much better with this anyway and I'd rather see them broadcast it, it would frankly seem wrong if this was on HBO, neither fighter fits the HBO criteria, which should be reserved for the cream of the crop and top prospects.

Adamek is hardly a HBO worthy fighter at this point, certainly not as the attraction.
With tounge planted firmly in cheek .?I think this fight is exactly what HBO could use,a shot in the arm and a great crossroads fight with two very TV friendly and exciting fighters.A chance for the masses to 'discover' new blood.HBO as of late has gone the way of a Diva monopoly mind set that is knee deep in "showcase" fights for returning network contract carriers or GBP's and other fast rising prospects. They must have a running conveyer belt onto which they endlessly pile 'the next best thing'.Its by no means a constant but I'd take this fight over their recent offering of two slovenly obese heavyweights in Arreola and McCline....or that PPV showcase farce Pavlik/Rubio & Cotto/Jennings.Surely,Adamek can produce action worthy of at the very least a co-feature slot?Thats how guys evolve and come into their own...if ever given the opportunity to shine on the platform next too HBOs super-dooper-mega stars.HBO is all about the new fad, whats popping as they see it.They are a buisness, understood, but as long as they are treated like the only show in town we'll get more of the same. But its the ones at times left off the air, over looked that are worthy of the spotlight.
