The thing for me is that I do not believe it is the 1st time Margarito has done this. Why all of a sudden would he want to use illegal hand wraps when he was so heavily favored? I hope he fades away altogether!
Ive been mute on this for the longest.Seeing a favorite get decapitated and brutally KO'd is one thing, but the aftermath and all of the drama just guts a guy.Galaxy man,I honestly dont have the answers. And Im not going to pretend to be a soothsayer and read tea leaves as to who knew what and when they knew it.Nor a mason or scientist specializing in chemical compounds. What I know for fact is that they found some sort of insert used in 'training pads',square pad wrapped inside of Tonys glove leading into the Mosley fight.Ive seen Mosley state that he felt and observed the pad and it appeared 'normal',Ive seen his Doctor say that it had flakes on it and seemed hard.Bottom line is the Commission held its hearing, concluded that he and camp were in the wrong and rendered a punishment. What ever the case and what ever it was......It should not have been there!!I have zero proof that he was 'dirty' in any other fights. He walked around, glad handing and hiding nothing after the Cotto win,all the while his wraps in plain view.He pelted Williams and Clottey with equally hard shots and they showed no facial trauma.Cotto showed plenty on the other hand.........people will and have drawn own conclussions off of his dealing in last fight, and you honestly cannot blame them.He and his corner have to live with the aftermath with no pity expected.Ive been a huge fan for a long while and say with the risk of a scarlet letter here , I cannot just throw a fighter and his past away all together. But directly or indirectly, his actions have blemished the sport, frankly the dumb son a b!!!ch made his bed and now has to live with his deeds, serves them right.Shite....I feel like cybil.Topic beaten into the ground frankly.

Absolutely not!! Only way I'd pay to see him fight is if he was in a coliseum fighting lions with a knife

Hey now Hold on to your horses Bald Eagle!!!

What proof do the CA comission have that Margarito's wraps were illegal

They have an envelope thin pad of gauze, damp. with an undetermined stain on it. On this pad, after very extensive tests, they found TRACE ELEMENTS!!! that means a miniscule amount , of sulpher.
Ok sulpher is found in Plaster of paris BUT its also found in hand creme.
This pad was handled by at least FIFTEEN!!!! people before being sealed for analysis. Is it beyond comprehension that was where the sulpher came from
Where are the plastc inserts Nazim Richardson claimed fell out of them? Where are the "Bricks" claimed to be in the wraps
Why isnt the CA Comissions Chief inspector being named and called to task?? After all he signed off on the initial wrap saying it was OK.
Then to add to the pantomime then he's allowed to give evidence supporting the wrap was illegal. ROFL
This whole scenario would be laughed out of any court in the land I'm just waiting for Margarito's lawyers to sue the CA comission for depriving a man of his livlihood and defamation of character..
The fact that his opponent that night Mosely is a KNOWN STEROID ABUSER himself but was allowed to escape unpunished only adds to the irony
Margarito's license should be activated again IMMEDIATELY
Where do you get "trace elements" from?

Its was stated that way on the report "Trace Elements of sulpher were discovered on the pad" As was stated Shane Mosely handled the pad himself and said he couldnt see anything wrong with it.
There was nothing on that pad that would enhance Margarito's punching power or to hurt his opponent end of story

Here's the Million dollar follow up question, in this hypothetical world of MArgo fighting again especially against Cotto or Mosley...lets say one of those fights does happen somewhere in Mexico or Thailand or whatever, with all the hoopla that this has caused if Margo fought anyone I'd expect that the other corner would insist on not only being there while its done (the hand wraps) but maybe even that they do it themselves.

So lets say that that is what happens, Nazim Ricahrdson wraps his hands they go out and fight and Margo beats his ass... then what? did he cheat the first fight really? did he have a bad night, was he under weight, would he get any credit?

Heyyyyyyyyy... welcome back. Hadn't seen much of you around here lately. Could it be related to the Margarito plaster fiasco? Or the fact that he got his ass beaten like a drum by Mosley? Probably just taking a break, huh.

Maybe I pay a nickel to see him with Vitali if the ref. is Marlon B. Wright or another one who allow plenty of punishment

Im done with Margarito. I always talked him up over the years and was a genuine fan. Not anymore. He should be banned, but since he isnt, he should retire.

I offer MY prayers to our friends and family in Mexico. I stand with them during these troubling times. I hope for healing, for them, and the world

Dude's apparently not even leaving Capetillo from all I've heard, if that's true he's just thumbing his nose at the sport, fuck him.

If Cotto-Margarito 2 happened and was on PPV I'd watch it on a free stream just in the hopes of seeing him get hammered and after it happened I'd mail Cotto 49.95 just to let him know I appreciated it.
