Knockouts like that are extremely hard to come back from. Really he didnt just get knocked out, he got dominated! He got knocked down twice in the first round and then out cold in the second. Your confidence levels are shot. I think hatton might HAVE to retire, sure he can fight on but will he still be the same warrior?

There are no Wembley staduim fights after a brutal loss like that.

    Yes he should retire.

Hatton is still young.. He just lost to a legend on the making.. 1 thing i want him to do first is to change that ahole trainer and look for a much more focus coach who will guide him on his training.. im not making excuses on ricky's lose but if you watch closely the 24/7 and read all the news regarding their preparation its all about mayweather this mayweather that and so on and so forth.. what the hell.. Hatton is a good fighter and im sure he can comeback.. but if he calls it a career i have no problem with it..

When money$$$ speaks everybody listen... maybe who knows he can fight DLH at wembley..

I think he should have a homecoming
I'd love to see him fight Amir Khan or Oscar De La Hoya
But it's up to him if he wants to call it a day
    47 fights and 45 wins ain't bad

Just out of curiousity... exactly how would you title this boxing card? (I have some suggestions, but I don't think they'd be very popular here).

Floyd Sr is a dick. I remember him saying something like to Ricky after the first round "I told from the day one of the training blah blah blah!". I can't believe hes already protecting his ass and the fight wasn't over yet.

Totally agree. He didn't just lose out there, he was blown away and fell as hard as anyone in recent memory. It's the type of thing you would expect of Amir Khan, you just wouldn't expect it of Ricky Hatton though.

He definitely should retire, the punch resistance has gone and that knock out will take some more out of him, if that's all Ricky has left its better he calls it a day while he still has some marbles.

Theres only 1 fight id like to see now and that him v Witter. But id just as much like him to retire.

Hes a top top man, still my favourite current boxer by a long long way but he got smashed up big time. That was 1 hell of a smack or 5 he took maybe times time.

He should really give retirement a long hard thought.
I think he should and sadly I don't think he'll get a letter from Canastota, NY.

There's just no coming back from that loss. He doesn't have the 140 excuse anymore. He used to live by "no-one can beat me at 140."

He said he was worried about Lazcano because of the loss to Floyd. So how we hill react after a loss that was 100 times worse?

Sad way to finish, but he's finished.
